Parking near the beach the stroll walks you past some church ruins dating back to the 5th Century, as you wrap around the cliffs you will get awesome views of the cliffs and sea crashing into them. If you are lucky and the time of the year is right there is a chance to see whales, at an abandoned coast guard station there is a chart you can document which species of whale and the date you have seen it on. You will pass what appears to be an ancient well knows as "Fr O'Donnel's" which is built with a stone canopy and seat, You will pass a shipwreck which I still haven't decided if it adds or detracts from the scene, but is interesting. Walking back towards Ardmore, the walk wraps up near some cathedral ruins and 12th century tower, a few blocks from the beach. All very cool stuff, there is great photo ops along the entire walk and I would have to say is one of the coolest things I have done in all my travels. The walk length totals probably less than 2 miles and has a few muddy spots so don't wear nice shoes.
