Had dinner with a group on a Friday evening recently. The hotel is beautifully decorated. The menu offers a good range of high end pub grub style food. With a selection varying from chicken wings and gourmet burgers to fillet of salmon and chicken. We had children with us, so it was a great relaxed environment. The children's menu was fine too, with a good selection. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Would recommend!

The waiting staff very friendly but food fell well short of expectations. Shake on Parmesan on Caesar salad; first serving of lamb was end scraps and second attempt really tough. Apple crumble not crumble rather a commercial blend and having to pick stalks off chopped strawberries was the last straw for me. Dead flower on the tables! We were so disappointed as we have had great meals here previously.

Been in a few times and the food was always delicious. A special mention to the fish dishes, as they were always so beautifully prepared! Tried the cheesecake as well and it was very yummy! The atmosphere is nice and cozy and staff is nice. Will be back for sure.

When we recently spent three nights in Slane, to visit Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth, the other eateries in town seemed to be closed, however this led us to try the hotel restaurant - a felicitous choice. We returned to dine here each evening, and the service was excellent, we were greeted and remembered by the staff, the meals were prepared individually, so there is some delay in being served naturally, but the food, when it arrived was excellent. I heartily recommend the food.

We visited in October 2015 but the 'when did you travel' box wouldn't allow me to edit the selection.
