We only stopped for coffee but you get an immediate impression of a very organised and friendly coffee shop.

On a beautiful day we sat on the outside tables.

Spotless toilets a beautiful place

I called in here today for a dessert. It was'nt great, just 'Average'.I had an apple sponge with cream and a standard coffee.. For starters the coffee was only 'luke warm'.The last 3 occasions i were in this restaurant , the coffee is always, well its NEVER hot, that's for sure. They should remember me, i were there this afternoon between 2 and 3p.m.The staff today, bit unusual shall we say , there were 2 male staff early twenties and a similiar aged female staff serving.I thought it un-usual the set -up there today, the male staff undertook to slice the apple sponge , without 'gloves' i might add,and proceeded to serve it, which i thought was both average and un-professional. The 'cream' applied as i did request it, was a 'squeezy cream ' from a shaving type can ,you know what i mean. That certainly was'nt good enough, it were Sunday after all and furthermore today happened to be 'Father's Day', so, where was the 'Good Old Delicious Fresh Cream'? ,nothing like a good old dollop of Fresh Cream and put a bit in your coffee as well, to make it 'COLDER' than it already is , i ask you.The staff were'nt properly attired to serve customers and THAT did not look good, you know, you do need to be kitted out properly when serving food, let's face it, male and female , but particularly the males at THIS restaurant today. On the whole Not Good Enough. Staff seemed In-Different and one sensed they did not want to be there, at least not today, maybe the World Cup might have something to do with it.Lanesborough is a big Tourist area at the moment and this premises is right bang in the middle of it, so people you might just need to 'Ramp It Up' , you know 'Smartin Up', 'Look Lively' and 'Move It Up' a 'Few Gears'.Having said that, i WILL go back there as it is centrally located in Lanesborough.

We found this hidden gem and armed with a fussy 9 year old we went in very hungry and this place is extremely clean and the staff were so super friendly and helpful and did a lovely steak and chips for our son with no fuss involved, Everything was freshly cooked and the mashed spuds were to die for, We will be back to this lovely restaurant real soon.
