Beautiful old school Manor house, I have stayed here many times and also enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Bedrooms are spacious and no problem in bringing your pets as long as you let them know in advance, dinner was excellent for all three of us. I would highly recommend this hotel for chilled out get away in stunning location in the heart of Connemara.

Attention to detail is the key to making events go smoothly and the weekend wedding that we attended here in the beautiful west coast could not have been made any better thanks to the kindness and attention that was paid to us and the other guests by the staff of this beautiful hotel. A fine day was had by all and even the weather brightened up for the happy couples pictures. The food was superb, the whiskey smooth and the craic mighty.
Thank you

Okay, we stayed at Rosleague Manor for a wedding which was taking place there, so everything was already going to be wonderful!

Family and friends of the bride and groom had taken over the hotel for the weekend. We flew to Dublin airport and picked up a car to drive to the Manor. And what a drive it was! We basically chased the sun west until it was a still a dark red line in the night sky when we arrived at 11pm. Mountain ranges and lakes were incredible features of the journey.

The staff were relaxed and friendly. The food was excellent (I didn't eat a bad thing all weekend) and there was a lot of it! Our room had an entrance, stairs up to the room and lots of space. The setting of the Manor is truly beautiful with gardens rolling down to the lake and forest surrounding it with places to sit and enjoy. We had a treasure hunt on the Sunday - there's that much to explore!

The Manor was perfect for this occasion - a beautiful retreat.

We returned for the second year running to Rosleague Manor for a delightful three night stay. We really love it here. The food is exceptional. The atmosphere is old world and the staff and service is excellent.

Every day there is a new menu made up of locally sourced meat, fish and vegetables. Some also grown in the gardens. I enjoyed connemara lamb, fillet of beef and duck whilst my husband enjoyed locally caught fish each evening. Breakfast is equally scrumptious- fresh fruit and a choice of freshly prepared breakfasts.

Our room was very comfortable with a four poster bed and well equipped. The antique pieces of furniture really add to the ambiance of a grand 200 year house.

The location is excellent and a great springboard to visit Kylemore Abbey to go into Clifden, golf in Ballyconnelly or drive along Killery Harbour Fjord to name but a few activities that can be enjoyed.

Our stay is coming to an end today and we wilI be definitely be back next year.

Thank you to owner Mark and his excellent staff for making it a wonderful stay for us.

Overall we enjoyed three nights here. The house is charming and has been cleverly added to/modernised over the years. The scenery with both sea and mountains is lovely even with the typically awful Connemara weather.
The dining experience is also very pleasurable. The room itself is charming, the service was good, the food occasionally verged on the truly excellent - lobster and lamb main courses were some of the best we have ever had in Irish country House hotels - and the wine list is well chosen and very fairly priced. The drawing rooms and bar conservatory were nice and comfortable spaces if a little underused by residents. Although full, the hotel is very quiet.
Although our room (19) was spacious and had a nice little balcony overlooking the garden area that sat two people, the bathroom needs upgrading and the main bed simply needs urgent replacement. I don’t mind a firm bed but this was brick like! My wife does mind a firm bed so her view is unrepeatable.
Overall a good base for exploring Connemara
