I was there with my husband. We stayed there for a night. I wish we had stayed longer. Beautiful room. Breath-taking view from the balcony. Staffs were helpful and very friendly. We ordered room service for dinner. The food was great. And the breakfast in the morning was good. I'd definitely return the next time I am in Nepal.

The surrounding is perfect, the rooms are cozy and the swimming pool adds up to the beauty. The garden adds to the flavor of the hotel. The food is perfectly delicious. The location is slightly away from the noisy street of Kathmandu and hence gives you an quieter background and scenic village downhill.

Room Tip: rooms nearby the dining hall has a view of the hills and the sunrise

Godavari Village Resort, Lalitpur, Kathmandu is a brick-red facility on a slope overlooking a valley with several brick kilns och simple sheds and houses. On the lower levels are separate wings with accommodation which is reached from the reception, meeting facilities and meal rooms on the upper level some 200 steps (flight of brick steps) apart from each other. The steps are surrounded by pleasant greenery, including citrus trees nd flowery bushes and trees. The reception staff is helpful, their English rather good, and they take charge of your luggage with a smiler, caarying it up and down all the steps with you staggering behind. The bedroom is equipped just sufficiently for your comfort and there is nothing to complain about. If you are lucky you can from your room overlook not only the valley with quarries and brick kilns but also the large and welcoming swimming-pool surrounded by lush greenery. The slow transport from/to the airport or Kathmandu proper is an educational experiernce of ethnic dimensions, through poverty-stricken neighborhoods and narrow, bumpy streets and garbage heaps which adds to the feeling of being selected for auseful lesson of disparities of our world. If you accept the wide range of circumstances forming our reality you will find this place highly rewarding for your mind. Pay it a visit with an open mind and you will enjoy it and you willl eave it richer and wiser than when you arrived. And if you like lamb curry you will love the spicy mealsprepared with local engagement and local ingredients. But, just in case, avoid the tap water.Bottled water is available and safe. And above all, find the tranquility at Godavari, become part of it--but note the ambient air pollution as part of the experience.

Room Tip: Try to get a corner room.

Rooms very spacious. Staff courteous & attentive. Very clean inside & out. I stayed for two weeks solo, however it didn't feel that way as the staff were typical of Nepali people & very friendly & pleasant.
