Crystal Bridges was the reason for traveling to the midwest. This museum was started by Alice Walton of the Wal Mart Family. She initially gave 800 million dollars and donated all of the art work. The museum's collection covers 5 centuries of American Art. The museum is free and is truly one of the New Crown Jewells of America. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Crystal Bridges.

Put Crystal Bridges on your bucket list. The collection, the architecture and the setting are unlike anything else in America. The trails are gorgeous. Seriously, make this a destination. Oh, and it's FREE!!!

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is definitely worth the trip, no matter how far you have to go. The museum's buildings and grounds are meticulously planned and visually stunning, making it exciting before you even enter the door. The collection of world class American art is varied, wide ranging, and well displayed. The friendly museum staff as well as the interesting, well written commentaries hung next to the paintings enhance the experience. What a treat!

Interesting building all by itself. The art is pretty neat too. My favorite part was the walking trails that cover the grounds, and the Wonder World section.

The museum has 4 different art galleries and the varities of art were diffinently different.
Lanscapes, sculpture, traditional and modern. The building architecture was outstanding and it was spacious and lots of employees to assist you with questions, directions, info.
They had guided tours as well. The staff was very pleasant even more so that I expected.
the cafeteria was spacious and the water that surrounds the facility can be enjoyed from many different vantage points. Very relaxing and very beautiful gardens and walk ways.
Literature was helpful and gave you all the info you needed to experience this great work of some very carrying people. A lot of time and money has gone into this project and well worth a visit. There are no other atractions like this for many milesl in several directions. One very good point is this attraction is free. My wife and I enjoyed the walking paths and in a couple of weeks the flowers and trees will be spectacular.
