If you are coming to Bahía Drake(especially in September for whale watching), then you must stay at the Pirate Cove. Amazing little GREEN hotel, where nature comes first.
Definitely worth every penny or colones you pay!! Since you will be rewarded with a unique experience.
From my arrival to my unwilling departure, everybody from the Pirate Cove was very friendly and helpful.
I was lucky to stay in a comfortable and spacious bungalow facing the beach with a hammock in the patio. Perfection!!
At night you would fall asleep by the relaxing sounds of crashing waves and melodically chirping insects.
In the early morning it is worth the effort to wake up with the rising sun to go take a tour. Snorkeling at Isla del Caño, where you might be able to spot whales, dolphins, turtles and stingrays. Or a hike thru Corcovado National Park for close encounters with Costa Rican wildlife. Ask for Steven, he is a great tour guide.
Oh and of course they feed you well at Pirate Cove with delicious meals.
A perfect package of the best of what Costa Rica has to offer.
I can hardly wait to get back there!! Pura Vida!!!More
