“Great View, good room, nice pool”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 February 2012

This was called the Best Western Lookout Lodge when we stayed here. The view was great. The room was good...a little dated but clean. The pool felt wonderful after trotting through Tombstone all day. The hotel is not in down town Tombstone but it is across the road from Boot Hill Cemetery. The staff was really nice. They had a restaurant that served breakfast cooked to order that was included in your room rate. I had never seen that before. It was a nice touch. I don't know if they still do that since it changed hands. I would stay here again.

We decided to go with a "local" hotel, rather than a chain, and were pleasantly suprised. The room was attractively decorated (no flat screen/HD though). We decided to stay an extra night, called the hotel to let them know, and were surprised that the room had not been refreshed . . called, and there was no reason given. The breakfast offered is nice - in a pleasant room, overlooking the mountain range, one is given choices for a hot breakfast. Hint: order an English muffin, bacon and scrambled egg, and make yourself a breakfast sandwich - - delish! We appreciated the landscaping and the view from our room.

The hotel was adequate, the room not cleaned well, hair in bathtub, yuk... it hadn't been cleaned at all. The complimentary breakfast was edible, small portions, poor service, they ran out of potatoes.

Asked for a baby crib got a play crib that was absolutely filthy. I wouldn't put a dog in it much less my granddaughter. Not impressed.

The desk person recommended the Longhorn restaurant for dinner. Bad!! That restaurant was terrible. The food was average at best. The service terrible, the waitress terrible, gave us wrong food, charged us for it at full price. Added a manditory 18% gratuity... Tourist rip off establishment. Do not eat there! I hope the hotel stops recommending that place... it is not reflecting well on your business to send folks there.

You folks in Tombstone need to do a better job, the economy is bad but you are giving your town a bad name.

The staff was so helpful and welcoming. The rooms were old and western feeling without being dirty or grimy. The view was beautiful. Complimentary breakfast was better than average although plan some time for it because it is a little slow. All six of us would stay at this hotel again. Less than five minutes from the main Allen St. and the front desk gives you a map to help you find parking and the attractions.

This Hotel is amazing, the views of the mountains from the rooms were unbelievable. We didn't have a car and this hotel is located just out of the main street so it was only a 10 min walk. The hotel staff were so so friendly they couldn't do enough to held you and we're always so polite. The breakfast was included and I was so shocked when you had a menu to choose items from, the pancakes were freshly home made and everything was lovely. When I go back I WILL be staying there again.

Room Tip: All rooms have an amazing view, hotel is up away from the road so not noisy.
