The exterior of this Italian restaurant, set in a small strip mall, gives no clue to the almost elegant interior, with nicely set, comfortable seatings and handsome decor. Metnu and wine list are well chosen and moderately priced. My veal saltimbocca was lightly sauced (a big plus over the usual heavy preparation in other restarants), but the veal was on the tough side. My wife loved her eggplant parm. Service by our waiter, Rich, was very friendly and helpful. We had the place to ourselves (though it was doing a lively takeout business that night. We'll probaby be back.

We drove from North Scottsdale / Phoenix to take our daughter, who lives in Tempe, out to dinner to celebrate Christmas. It was a long drive on a busy Saturday night.

The place itself is different - doesn't look like a restaurant. The back of the building is obviously where they have banquets and the front consists of several tables and booths, thus, the restaurant. The ambiance is very lacking -- not a very attractive room. Upon arrival, which was early, there was only one other occupied table, but throughout the time we were there many more families came in.

The menu is large and has something for everyone. It was hard to decide. All items were very fairly priced, as was the wine.

Meals began with delicious hot bread and green salads. Our food was delicious and although there was plenty of food, the portion sizes we're not gargantuan - as they are at many Italian restaurants.

Our server, Dawn, was outstanding!! She timed the meal out perfectly.

Really had a great evening and look forward to returning. Highly recommend this place for authentic Italian food at a fair price.

This revues is not about the food, I did not eat there. And probably the food is very good. Even if the recipes there are not to much of an authentic Italian food. Each restaurant can do whatever they want and they do not need to follow others. But there is a bad custom very diffuse in the United States in ethnic restaurants in particular. The use of the name of an authentic dish of a country, but they present you a complete different recipe, and I am talking not about small variations. I means that have nothing to do with the original authentic recipe. This restaurant is doing that. For example they have in the menu a pasta CARBONARA. In the internet they describe it and have nothing to do with the authentic Italian dish. Why they call it Carbonara? For confusing the people and misleading the customers about the authentic Italian cuisine? For having a claim from part of a customer? Probably the dish is very good, but call it Miele's pasta, or with a fantasy name of your choice, but not call it Carbonara, because is not a Carbonara and in that way te restaurant is misinforming the customer. A respect for the names of the authentic Italian dishes, and other countries dishes is do..

We were warmly greeted, served wonderful breads and appetizers and really great Italian cosine. Comfortable atmosphere with Italian décor. This is a small place in a strip mall, but worth seeking out!
