“Excellent clean large 1bedroom timeshare”
Reviewed 19 December 2011

The people at the check in were very helpful. 2 flat screen televisions with a DVD player. Nice view of rock and good location for hiking. The bed was very comfortable, however furniture in living room is very dated. Sofa is not very comfortable. We had a couple of days of rain with snow up in the mountains. The views were like a post card.

I stayed in an efficiency, and got it through my timeshare exchange company - as a bonus week. It was a great location, where I could walk to shopping and also hike in the red rocks. The room was just OK - functional, but a bit darker than I might have liked (even with the drapes fully open). There was a kitchenette, which came in handy, but no oven. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. And Sedona is SO beautiful!!

**Note - there was no elevator, and half the rooms are on the second floor - necessitating carrying my heavy suitcase up a flight of stairs!**

Room Tip: When reserving, I might ask for a room with good views of the red rocks, as there is spectacular sce...

The only reason we stayed here was because it is part of our timeshare and the properties we usually stay at in Sedona were unavailable. We were in bed watching tv and when my husband got up to go to the bathroom I saw a bug crawling in the bed. And when we turned on the lights and started looking in the sheets there were many more. Called the desk and told them we needed to be moved to another room immediately. The night manager came, took a few bugs to show the exterminator and helped us move to a new room and search the bed for bugs. He told us that there had been bed bugs in 2 of the other bldgs as well in the past. We didn't have any problems with the new room. I called our timeshare Diamond International first thing the next morning and told them the situation and that we wanted to be moved to a different property. They were very helpful and got us in at the Summit for the rest of our stay. When we told the girl at the desk our room number and that we were checking out early, she knew right away what had happened and was very apologetic. She went to her managers office to let them know we were checking out and came back alone to tell us our stay wasn't going to cost us any of our points. We couldn't believe the manager didn't have the guts to come out and apologize, The poor desk girl had to, and you could tell she was very embrassed about it. The manager called us a few days later to tell us all our points for the reservation had been refunded, and apologized for the inconvience during our stay.

My daughter is going to school nearby so I come to Sedona area once a month from Colorado. We have been staying at his hotel since we first found it. The full kitchen (no oven) paired with the Bar b que by the pool make it very easy to have home cooked meals. It is clean and comfortable with spacious rooms. My only complaint is the internet is just awful and they seem clueless about it yet each time I am there it is equally as bad. Also the pull out couch is very uncomfortable but the main bed is very comfortable.

Room Tip: I prefer the bottom floor facing the big pool, there you get a small patio.

Pros: Big 1 Bedroom, with stove, microwave, refrigerator, 2 TVs and a living room.

Cons: Staff, housekeeping never showed up until we called, after 9PM they go into lockdown and you can go to the lobby, not really close to sedona ( that was my bad for not researching the address more, even though it was posted on orbitz that it was IN sedona)

We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the unit and it's amenities, but we're sorry that you had issues with housekeeping. Despite the delay, we're glad that they were sent when you notified the Front Desk.

There does seem to have been some confusion regarding operating hours during your stay. The fitness center and the pools close at 10PM. The front door to the lobby is also locked at 10PM; however, there is a notice to ring the doorbell after that time if you require assistance. We'll ensure this information is posted clearly for future guests.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us!
