Great Inn in beautiful Sedona. Had a great time checking out all of the new hiking and biking trails that seem to be going in in the area. Very relaxing stay. Will be back.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in West Sedona (the quieter side). After a long journey from Phoenix (Memorial Day traffic) we were so happy to find that our hotel was on the west side of town - away from all the noise and heavy traffic. Check in was very pleasant; Ben gave us many wonderful tour idea and actually booked a tour form us with pick up at the door. He took the time to read my room request (pet free, non-smoking and quiet) & they did their best to make us happy... And we were! We were put in the furthest room from the road overlooking he pool and were very impressed by the cleanliness of the room. The grounds are so peaceful and the fountains, humming bird feeders and beautiful flowers & trees were such a great touch. Our little balcony was perfect for morning and evening coffee until the construction began!!!

Unfortunately for us they were building in the pool area, which will be wonderful for shade when it is completed. It was kind of noisy (as hammering tends to be) and on day two we returned from a very hot sweaty hike and found the pool emptied :( . Believe me, we do understand, but would have liked to be notified of the lack of pool usage and construction. That was the only con of the entire stay and the reason this is not an excellent review.

The breakfast buffet is such a wonderful touch. The other guests were so friendly and everyone sat for breakfast and shared their favorite Sedona trips, tours and suggestions of where to eat. It was like having breakfast with extended family.... such a great idea! One morning met the owner and she treated us like guests in her home.

Read a recent review about uncomfortable bed... not in our room. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and were fresh and clean.

Southwest Inn - we loved our stay and congratulate you on your ability to keep it feeling like home away from home!!! Thank you and we would love to return some day.

Room Tip: Second floor balcony was a real plus... loved the view and the extra room to have some down time.

This was our first trip to Sedona so we had no expectations about hotels. We were very pleased with our experience at Southwest Inn. The room was spacious and confortable, nicely appointed and clean and waiting for us. It is a short drive from shopping and Old Sedona but nice to be away from the action and we didn't feel isolated in any way. The complimentary breakfast hot item was only oatmeal, but many other cold choices were satisfying. Most of all, the innkeepers were cheerfull, happy to have us there and ready to offer help and directions on what to see and do. They go the extra mile as independent innkeepers and it shows. First Rate!

I've been to Sedona a few times but this was my first stay at Southwest Inn at Sedona. From now on, I will be staying here exclusively. The spa tub was just what we needed after the long grueling snowy drive we had and the shower was a beautiful walk-in. The view is fabulous right from the room; we had the first floor. The beds were great and the gas fireplace was aglow as we entered the room. The outdoor whirlpool seemed really nice and the outdoor pool just so-so because it was basically connected to the end of the parking lot. We didn't use either of these as we were there during record breaking snow this past March.

Room Tip: No need for the extra money for the 2nd floor but we did splurge the little extra for a spa bathroom.

My daughter and I spent several nights at the Southwest Inn last July. Our room was generous in size, had two queen beds, and large bathroom with jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The beds were comfortable. At night, we appreciated having a fireplace. (Summer nights can still get cool at that altitude). We had a balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the mountains. Several rooms had views of Coffee Pot Rock. Although the hotel is near the highway, our room was halfway towards the back of the property and was quiet. The pool is rather secluded at the back of the property. The pool appeared especially inviting in the evening, lit up in lights of blue and green. The hotel has a hot tub situated between the buildings. The grounds are admirably landscaped with southwest flair, also seen in the decor of the hotel and rooms. My favorite feature was the hotel breakfast...delicious homemade burritos, natural oatmeal with topping trays of dried fruits and nuts, and other foods. Scales above the continental breakfast fare. The breakfast room was ample and brightened by many windows. There is an attached balcony for those who prefer to eat outdoors. The staff was courteous and professional.
