The room was beautiful, and the view from our private deck was amazing. The service was amazing and the room was so comfortable and inviting. We both have aching backs, and the heavenly bed and pillows made it even more special. I would definitely stay there again, and was close to everything, shopping and the beauty of the surrounding mountains.

Room Tip: I found them online, and believe me I searched, and just followed my instincts. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed at the Southwest Inn 4 nights and found it very nice. The rooms are clean, the grounds are kept up nicely and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, a nice selection and freshly prepared. Each room has a view, the only problem we had was the noise from the highway. We did get used to the noise and we will go back as this is a good value in Sedona where everything is pricey.

The staff made my short trip very enjoyable. They suggested hiking trails, restaurants, and galleries. The room was roomy with a fireplace. I had a 1st floor room which was fine. View is everywhere. Breakfast and community room were well decorated with regional look. The burritos they make there are healthy and out of this world delicious! I will stay again and recommend to others.

As mentioned in the other reviews, this is a wonderful little place with great service. The only exception for us was the beds-- they were awful. Zero support. Once we realized the beds (two queens) in the room were terrible, we went to look at a second room to see if they were better, but they were the same. Confused as to how beds could be so bad, we checked out the box springs, and they were both broken. We ended up putting the mattresses on the floor (which required quite a bit of furniture moving to accomplish) in order to get a good night's sleep.

I have been traveling, so I have not had a chance to respond to your review until now. Yesterday morning and this morning, we looked at every bed: we flipped the mattresses, we removed the duvet covers, we got down on our hands and knees; but, we could not find a single box spring that was broken??? In fact, we just received an email, from a guest who stayed with us a week ago, requesting to know where we purchased our Sedona Dream Top mattresses. She went on to say how well she slept with the window open, and the fan on--taking in the high-desert night air.

Respectfully,

Stayed for a long weekend May 10th 2012. Excellent for this price range and type of property. May be the cleanest place I have ever stayed.

It is not a resort or an expensive hotel. It is also not a motel. Kind of an odd category of places to stay. The front desk folks are very helpful. I love the location. Stayed in the Apache suite. Lots of room. In fact there were two room separated by the bathroom.

A couple of things you do need to know. Second floor accessed by stairs. Not a big deal, but if this is problem physically, you need a ground floor room.

Low flow shower. Seemed to take forever to take a shower because of this. Plan accordingly. Also a low flow toilet. There is a plunger provided.

Close to some great places to eat. Again, this is not a hotel, no room service.

Room Tip: Deluxe king with view room was large and comfortable.
