Service was efficient. Water came promptly, took our order, and the food was out very fast. No time spent on chit chat.

I had the King Pao Duo (chicken and shrimp) from the lunch menu. It was a little spicy and tasted great. It was serviced with plenty of rice. Free hot tea was also provided. Once done, they have is each a fortune cookie.

Others had the Almond Chicken and loved it.

The lunch specials are all good and well priced.

Lastly, if you are expecting old fashioned authentic Chinese food, this is not your place. That said, I would return and have their lunch again.

Have only had lunch so far and it is always tasty. It is consistently busy for lunch, with a few regulars that seem to have their own special seat. No buffet (thankfully). Everything is cooked to order. The backside of the menu offers 32 lunch combo specials, as well as appetizers, soups, chow mein, chop suey, fried rice options and egg foo young, which you don't always see on a Chinese menu.

Lunch deals include 2 mounds of rice (fried or white, unless your entree comes with noodles), your entree and 1 egg roll. Hot tea and water comes to every table, so you can save money by not ordering an additional beverage. You order by number, but I usually include the description as well. I order #21 which is Beef or Chicken with Vegetables. The vegies in this order consist of carrots, mushrooms, snow peas, onion, bok choy, and water chestnuts. The sauce that it is cooked in is very light and not at all salty and there was a good meat to vegie ratio. If you want broccoli then order #22. Table next to us ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps (#30) which was prepared table side and looked delicious.

Can't wait to try dinner here, as I will probably bring home leftovers.

NOTE: Their parking lot is located on the east side of the building and has a "ONE-WAY" system of entering & exiting. It is well marked, but the entrance is located furthest from the building. There is a handicap parking spot that is located in front of the building.

They are open Monday-Saturday. Closed on Sundays.

The third time I've been to Desert Jade proved to me it was no random occurrence - the food is that good. They serve possibly the best hot & sour soup and spring rolls,

The staff is incredible. Courteous and attentive waiters make this restaurant a continual selection for Best of Phoenix.
