This is the restaurant hotel, and they seem ill prepared for the task. I was there for breakfast on a day when the hotel was full. This should not be an exception. The wait staff was slow and frazzled. They put us in an area that apparently wasn't normally used for breakfast, which was a huge problem given that the sun glared straight into our eyes, and they did not have shades for the windows. The food was expensive, which is not abnormal for the situation, but the portion size was small, and I literally went down to a gas station to get a breakfast sandwich to fill me up after my meeting was over. You would think for $16, they could have thrown in another egg.

Wings, cheese fries, crab cakes etc. all for 5/6$ during their happy hour. There was live music last time I was there and she sounded amazing.

So, our daughter made reservations for Christams day at this restaurant on OpenTable, months in advance for our family. There was listed a varied menu, with lots of choices. Once we got to the restaurant, we found a fixed price menu, with only 2 entrees we could choose from (we do not eat pork) and starters and dessert, which we would not choose. The manager was very accommodating, apologized that OpenTable did not specify fixed price, and agreed to allow us to pick from a few other choices. He suggested he could make the kids a chicken dish. Not having a lot of options, we stayed .the kids and one adult meal came out first, something a good restaurant would not do. (Not the wiater's fault, who was very nice). To make things worse and stimulated the review, we saw people at the bar on our way out eating sandwiches and other options not available to us. We were not happy campers.
The food was delicious. Our objections remain.

The breakfast was fresh and hot, the service was awesome it made the atmosphere pleasant thanks to Elizabeth who was a great host. I recommend this place to all who visit the downtown area. When you go into the restaurant ask for Elizabeth and she will make your experience one to die for. I’ll be back soon

We hosted two private breakfast events while attending a conference in Phoenix and the District American Kitchen & Wine Bar was perfect! Staff were super friendly, food was good, they were very accommodating even to last minute changes. I would definitely use them again and recommend!
