Description: There’s a reason why LON’s at The Hermosa Inn is rated as one of Paradise Valley’s top restaurants. We seek out the region’s freshest ingredients and prepare them with age-old cooking traditions—roasting, smoking, wood-grilled—combined with cutting-edge trends. The result? Globally inspired Arizona cuisine, with our popular Himalayan Salt Seared Ahi Tuna, served with cilantro, pickled onion, and ceviche sauce, as a prime example. A new Chef’s Tasting Menu is offered each week, and our expert sommelier is always on-hand to recommend the perfect wine pairings.

We had lunch and sat outside. Both the drinks and food were promptly served and tasty. Highly recommended. We had the shrimp salad dish and the fish and chips. Enjoyed both.

We met up with family for a wonderful dinner at Lon's. This was our first time and they did not disappoint. The service and food were outstanding.

Do not plan for a quick meal at this restaurant, because that it is not. You wouldn't want to rush through anyway - the setting is great and the food is worth the wait.

Although the waiter will go through the entire menu with you, you might want to check it out online prior to arrival. I would not recommend this for families with small children, but my tween and teen loved it and appreciated the food.

mizzou96,

Thank you for joining us with your family. It is nice to know that not only you enjoyed, but your teen and tween did as well. If a family arrives with young children, our Chef will do his best to accommodate with some kid-friendly favorites. We appreciate you sharing your experience and look forward to welcoming you back again.

Lon Megargee built the beginning of this place before Arizona was a state, and it's the crown jewel of our entertainment sites today. The food, the bar, the overall ambiance are matchless; elegant, casual, gracious, relaxed. The fireplace on a winter morning is the best breakfast view anywhere, and everyone I bring is charmed. It's rustic and yet so luxurious.

We dined indoors, as it felt chilly, even with the patio heaters. We enjoyed a delicious meal: salads, tortilla soup, seasonal pumpkin soup, duck and roasted chicken. The desserts -- s'mores and a cowboy bar -- were terrific. Our server was attentive, the ambience was wonderful, and the grounds at the Hermosa were beautiful. It's definitely an expensive, but enjoyable, experience.

NYCTraveller4,

Whether dining out on our popular patio or indoors in Lon's dining room, I am glad that you were able to enjoy a nice selection of Lon's culinary offerings. And the cowboy bar - a decadent 'must have' for sure! Thank you for your review and hope to see you again!

Ahi, beet salad, filet, pork chop and cowboy candy bar were all wonderful! The wine selection appears to be superb. The sommolier helped guide me respectfully and kindly given my minimal knowledge of wine, which I loved! He even gave us a tour of the wine cellar which was a highlight.
