We ate on the outdoor patio on a Thursday evening. We were greeted immediately and brought water and bread. Our water glasses were kept full throughout our meal. The table was cleared of dirty dishes promptly. We started with the mussels which were divine! Good portion for 2 people to share. I had the veal Marsala. My husband had a pasta dish with sausage. Both were awesome. We finished with a special dessert-blueberry bread pudding with limoncello sauce. We finished everything on our table. It was so good. Our waiter was extremely professional and attentive. I would highly recommend this place.

Caffe Torino's pleasant, quiet atmosphere was promising when we entered on a first visit on a Wednesday evening in early April, and so was the menu. Regrettably, a ridiculously slow kitchen and an inattentive server made for a very poor experience. Two in our party thoroughly enjoyed the veal Marsala ($28), which arrived in generous servings and was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Other diners tried one of the "specials" for the night, orecchiette pasta with broccoli and Italian sausage ($22); the sausage was quite good, but the kitchen skimped on the pasta and overall the dish felt slim.
After we took our seats, our server took and delivered our wine order, then forgot about us; we had to summon him to place our food order. Later, our server promised a requested beverage refill, but we had to ask for it a second time. We even had to snag our server when he was refilling water glasses at a nearby table, to do the same for us. Our food arrived at our table a full 60-minutes after our server took our order, and only after we inquired for a second time if he could check on it. He blamed the kitchen.
Wrapping up our dinner almost 110-minutes after we were seated, we decided we'd invested enough time at Caffe Torino, and skipped dessert and coffee.
Considering this was a midweek evening, the restaurant was clearly unequipped to handle its customer load. We would choose to dine elsewhere in the future.

We love this spot ‘but’.

It needs to spruce up, redo the menu and wake up. The food is ok but not great. The decor is tired, the breakfast crowds have moved on and things are getting shabby.
We’ll be back but not as often :(

this was recommended by the concierge at our hotel as we didn't want to travel far or spend big bucks. reasonable priced Italian fare, good veal and pasta reasonable wine prices. Nice outdoor seating but in a strip mall.

All told, we ate at the Oro Valley restaurant twice and East River Road once.
At Oro Valley the first visit was great service and excellent food. The second Oro Valley was lousy service and okay food. The East River was so-so service and food.
So, take your chances is the only thing I can say.
