Room with a view was fabulous and staff helpful and considerate and very helpful when it came to organising a day trip around the Island. Meals were delicious and would definitely go back there when we visit again.

When I searched for accommodation in Savai'i this place looked really great especially staying in a chalet over the lagoon and access to it anytime for a cool dip or morning wake up call. I was there for a family event about an hour away but the pictures of the room i liked with aircon and an ensuite ticked all the boxes. An hour road trip didn't seem that bad. I arrived and checked it 26 Dec and checked out 29 Dec and actually couldn't wait to leave because upon arrival they put us in a terrible room. The shower trickled cold water but flushed out lots of hot water. It also didn't look clean, outdated, and the whole bathroom desperately needed a upgrade. The aircon was very noisy and didn't cool the room at all because it was stuck in one setting - mild blowing. The manager apologised though, they mixed up the booking and although i paid top dollar before i arrived the manager offered free meals and drinks for two out of three of my stays. So after spending my fist night in a room I frowned on the remaining of my stay was special. The room i actually paid for was what i had saw in the pictures and the lagoon was yards away. The room I paid for was their best room and it was a massive upgrade to the other room. I stayed in the chalet honeymoon suite and it was very comfortable except for these round bugs that appeared from nowhere and insects in the ensuite despite the mosquito net. Nothing can be perfect. Just make sure you ask for your room to be serviced otherwise if you're a sweaty type then you'll be sleeping in the previous nights sheets. Great service, vey friendly staff who go out of their way, and awesome food. Take a strong mosquito repellant, a rental car, and store lots of bottled water in the fridge. I'll stay there again but after the renovations that was happening while i was there. It looks like a it'll be finished mid 2017.

I stayed at Lusia's for 6 days in the lagoon chalets ensuite and overall had a good stay. My observations on good and bad are as follows:
The good:
The property has lots to offer from massage to diving in the lagoon, tours and rental cars (where available)
There are various types of rooms from cheap to expensive depending on what your budget is
There are many trees which give it a lovely canopy look and allows for a cool environment
The location is good as its close to the markets and also to the wharf
The lagoon is a great place to swim multiple times a day

The Bad:
The staff while friendly and attentive (like Henry) however they didnt seem to have a proper uniform so you werent sure whether you were talking to a staff member or not.
The boardwalk to the rooms and the lagoon needs some fixing and more of a grip as when its wet it can be very dangerous
the grounds could be kept a little more by raking up the plenty leaves
the path to the rooms closest to the lagoon need to be cemented properly as a few times i almost lost my balance as you are basically treking through uneven ground (rock, leaves, dirt etc).
NO TV which was disappointing
The housecleaner only cleaned the bed and left every other bit of mess which meant we had to find someone else to clean the room
the shower in the room i stayed in was quite loud as the metal panel beneath everytime you stood on it it would pop back out

Overall a great place and it exceeded my expectation, There is so much potential with the place it just needs a little more focus

Room Tip: if you can spare it get a lagoon ensuite as you have your own bathroom and private access to the lagoon.

The chalets are close to the village, market and ferry. If you would like to have a amazing experience, rent the In suite lagoon chalet with a balcony in front of the lagoon. The food is really good and the staff was very friendly. The site need a little bit of improvement and when we were there, the reception/dining room was under construction. The clearness of the site is ok.
