I stayed 1 night in a suite on the 4th floor. It had a great view of the town and bay. You can open the windows in your room and will need to if it is a sunny day. It had a nice, big bathroom. The matress was stiff, so not my favorite. The tv had several channels in English. The biggest problem was the internet did not work good. At times it wouldn’t load a page. Then other times, it would work some, but slowly. They need to upgrade the internet. I had a hamburger and fries at the restaurant. It was good. For breakfast, there were eggs, pastries, fruit, meat, cheese, toast. Best was the fresh squeezed orange juice. It was ok, but the hotel I stayed in at Buenos Aires, had a little better breakfast, mainly because the fruit and breads were a little better. It was $110 pesos from San Martin st to the hotel via taxi. And the times they have the free shuttle weren’t that great. I stayed here through Quark cruises, but if I would have booked my own hotel, I most likely would go with one in town, so you can walk to stores. I would have liked to have had more time to go to souvinour shops.
Overall, a good hotel if you are a hiker, nice room, but if you think you want to walk around town a lot, I would probably pick a different place.

Dear twinkles200000: Thank you very much for choosing Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort to stay during your visit to the End of the World.

We are glad to know that you have enjoyed our views, we believe that in order to have a constant experience of the landscape that is prima facie on the island, there is no better option than to experience it every day from the chosen hotel itself.

We thank you for reviewing and allowing us to improve on your suggestions. We regret not being able to offer you the same quality of fruits that you have been able to taste in Buenos Aires. In Argentina the route of fruits and vegetables first goes to Buenos Aires and then by land to the whole country. The distance of 3500 km that separates us from the capital has the consequence that we can not access the same products, so that the productions that contemplate regional products in our letter to maintain a high standard of quality.

We invite you to see us in another season of the year, each of them transform the landscape of Ushuaia into a show worth re-discovering, attentively

Although nestled in the beautiful hills with fantastic view of the Beagle Channel, Hotel is tired and in need of updating. Bathroom has already been updated. Rooms are adequate with extremely comfortable larger-than-average-king beds. Breakfast buffet has ample selection, quite a few free activities on the premises, free shuttle bus to town, and many trail heads nearby including one on the premise. Walking distance to Glacier Martial -- beautiful! Nice cozy cafe with excellent food including vegetarian selections at the entrance of Glacier Martial Park.

Room Tip: All rooms have fantastic view of city and Beagle Channel

Stayed here before heading off on an Antarctic Cruise and it was adequate. Overall this hotel was adequate, However it was somewhat run down and grotty in places especially in the pool/spa areas.
The staff were helpful and friendly
The rooms seemed spacious with ample facilities.
The in house formal restaurant was reasonable value and excellent food.
Breakfast was ok in the day dining room, but the hot food was always cold.

The hotel is located slightly north of the Ushuaia town centre, up on the hill which means you have to take a taxi or their complimentary shuttle to go down town. A taxi is around 120-140 peso and 160 peso from/to the airport.
I booked the hotel as they have a pool/jacuzzi/sauna/steamroom, separate kids area and a small spa which was the perfect place to warm up and unwind after a day out and about. The rooms are very generous and offer great views over the bay. The décor is a little dated in places, but charming and very clean and the team are super friendly. Patricia at front desk was an absolute angel, helping me with my various requests. The hotel offeres plenty of complimentary actvities including archery, trekking, yoga, a play room for the kids and a cinema with daily changing movies. Wi-Fi is also complimentry throughout.
There are two local trecks close by which are about 2 hours each, very convenient and easy to manage up the hill to a nice view poiny by the old skilift. There is also a teahouse where you can pop in for a hot chocolate and cake.
The team told me that they had a change in management 2 years ago and you can see that renovations have started to bring in a more contemporary look. The breakfast room is stunning and the offer fabulous. On my last day, I had to leave early to the airport and the team offered me to sit down and have coffee/ help myself from the buffet as they were setting up. This would not happen everywhere, but it was all so effordless and easy, a complete joy!
Sebastian, Head Somelier and his team are extremely passionate about what they do. You cannot help but being infected and charmed by his love for local produce, innovation and his vision for the new bar which is being created this year. The lounge area is modern and super comfortable with panoramic views over the bay. In a couple of months, the new decking will also be completed and the Englidh bar will be refurbished. Once done, I am sure if will present a lovely concept where both locals and guest will enjoy a locally inspired cocktail. There is also a new Restaurant Manager who is injecting new energy into the place. The restaurant is a bit more formal and offers a 5 or 7 course tasting menu which is highly regarded and sounds very refined. The bar menu also offers a great selection of sandwiches, salads and main courses, all great value for money. On Thursdays, there is a free wine tasting with local wines and classics from Mendossa. The cocktail menu is fun and a great wine list. We had the house red (Malbec), very easy to drink indeed!
With such a friendly team around, you don’t feel the need to take the complimentary shuttle down town to explore some of the local restaurants – even if it only takes 5-7 minutes. It’s so easy to just pop downstairs knowing you will be well looked after.
While the redecorating will inject new life into the décor, what makes the difference here are the people. Every single one I met was polite, gracious, smiley, and proud to be part of the team. Could have easily stayed longer and very tempted to book another trip next year just to see how the team has been able to translate their vision in making this the No 1 place to stay, eat and drink in Ushuaia. In my option, it already is. Just needs a little facelift, but the couple of wrinkles are most charming and authentic.

Room Tip: Ask for Lake View - it's worth it

Dear Sabine K: Thank you very much for choosing Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort to stay during your visit to the city of "End of the World" and for taking the time to write such a detailed and beautiful review about your experience in our hotel.

Certainly our company acquired this beautiful hotel two years ago, a hotel with its imprint and history, which had been losing some of its charm in the last years. Our beautiful challenge is to recover the spirit and give the hotel our own imprint that comes from the contribution of each member of staff.

We are very excited about the advances that we are having and the proposals that come from each of the people who drive the hotel every day.

This review has filled us with energy, we have read it carefully in team and it is a beautiful sample that although the road is long, we are making a good tour.

We will be pleased if you visit us on another trip and we will be happy to share with you the progress, the improvements and the new services that we can offer then.

We hope you had a pleasant journey back to your home and that you can return to visit us soon, sincerely

We liked everything in the hotel, the room was very spacious, bathroom good, with good towels, has safe and fridge.
The hotel restaurant is very good, in addition to the dishes the service is excellent. The pool and jacuzzi are good too. I indicate the massage too. Without a doubt if not the best one of the best hotels in Ushuaia.
