We were planning to stay for 8 nights and extended our stay to 15 days because we just couldn’t leave this place . It felt like home and we were treated like family by everyone of the staff . A charming country house in the private neighbourhood surrounded by mountains and nature with breathtaking views . We were lucky that we had witnessed the first big snowfall this winter before the start of the skiing season . The place felt absolute magical Narnia like .
Everyone who works at this Boutique hotel are genuinely warm and very friendly and it had been an absolute pleasure to stay there for 2 weeks .We would have stayed longer if we could .

Boutique Hotel in a beautiful town with refined services. Our stay at the hotel and in Bariloche could not have been better. The day we checked in (see TIP below for directions) we spent about an hour walking through the community viewing the homes and amenities the community offers. This would be a perfect place to retire. The hotel is a good-sized lodge overlooking the golf course. The hotel is also surrounded by mountain and lake views. There is a pool, small fitness center and laundry available for hotel guests to use; they even provide the detergent! Check-in was fast and our room was ready and very clean. We stayed in room 405 - while it did not have a balcony like some of the photos I saw online and thought I reserved, the view made up for it. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was included in the rate. WIFI seemed to be comparable to the other hotels we stayed in Chile and Argentina.

TIP: As of March 26, 2018 Apple nor Google Maps will not get you directly to the hotel. It will take you to a road that no longer exists near the private entrance to the gated, golf community. It will say you have arrived, but keep driving a bit and you will see a discrete driveway that says private property. At the gate shack, the guards will confirm your hotel reservations by calling the hotel. Once confirmed, they will give you a map to get to the hotel. They were very friendly. Once you check in, they will give you a PIN to enter and exit the community.

Room Tip: Loved room 405

Arelauquen (are -eh-LAU-ken) is a scenic country club located in a large wooded area outside of Bariloche. It's dotted with private, fairly secluded residences, but also contains a modestly-sized hotel/lodge complete with a quality restaurant. Definitely worth it for golf lovers and folks seeking a Bariloche vacation without the crowds, I highly recommend that guests rent a car in advanceor be comfortable paying US$15-20 each way to visit the city center by remis (a reserved taxi), which are quite reliable. There's high and somewhat stern security at the club gates, but you'll definitely feel safe! Not really for kids, teens or folks looking to hang out in the city center at any time.

Room Tip: A view of the mountains to the west is a must

We came back for a second time to Arelauquen Lodge and after such a wonderful visit the first time, we were a little worried it wouldn't be quite as good. But in fact, it was the opposite - It was even better than we remembered! The hotel itself is a unique property - it feels almost like a private home. Everything is so personal, from the decor to the service. We loved the serenity, the views, the hiking, and all of the hotel's amenities (unbelievable breakfasts, extraordinary dinners, a setting that takes your breath away) and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. We hope to return for a third visit - it's one of our favorite places on the planet!

Room Tip: Ask for a upstairs for the best views of the golf course, lake and mountains.

We had a wonderful stay in February. Very attentive staff. Beautiful views from the Valley side rooms.
The rooms on the 4th floor were a little disappointing as they had smaller windows than the 3rd floor rooms.
The restaurant was average but the service was good. The front desk was extremely helpful. Especially a charming girl called Nair.
I would recommend this to anyone who plays golf or someone who wants some peace and quiet instead of the bustle of Bariloche which is about 15 mins away.
