A perfect place to stop while travelling. The rooms are nicely designed. As we arrived in the afternoon they kindly offered to make us toasted sandwiches & tea. Unfortunately the lovely dining room didn't open until 9pm by which time we were exhausted from our long drive. Lovely places to sit outside as well as a pool with lazy lounges so had a swim. A recommendation would be some bottled water or a kettle to boil water to make tea or coffee in the rooms. Inspite of the nice surroundings it was expensive at 650pesos a night especially as it is in the middle of nowhere.

We drove from BsAs to Bariloche, and wanted the break up the trip with an overnight stay... while trawling the internet for somewhere in Santa Rosa we didn’t come up with anything worth staying at and Estancia's seemed to be really expensive. While driving down we saw Piedras Blancas from the road and decided to try and book it on the way home. We're so glad we did! The value for money is EXCEPTIONAL.We stayed in a suite (we are a married couple and two singles) for one night, and all wished we could have stayed longer and laid by the pool with a book for a day. The whole place is beautiful and well decorated. It's clean, modern and the service was excellent. It's only small but really lovely and the beds were the best we've all slept in for a long time! As far as we could tell the staff didn’t speak much English, (we had two spanish speakers with us) but were very sweet and friendly. We had satellite tv, air con (a must in summer), pool. The view is really nice. It's not an estancia, but you can organise horse rides if you let them know in advance (we didnt have time).
It's not 5 star, but as far as value goes - this place has a lot of bang for your buck. The breakfast was simple - medialunas, toast, jams, cream cheese, coffee, tea and orange juice - but it was really nice. We paid less as we paid with cash as well. The b&b is just outside Santa Rosa - you'll need a car or taxi to get into the little town. There's a good parilla in town or you can head to the casino for a meal.

If you need to stay in Santa Rosa at all - we highly recommend Piedras Blancas!
