Circulo Italiano last night was our first meal in Santa Fe. If it is indicative of the quality of food and friendliness of the people in Santa Fe, then we will love our next three days here. I had a nice sized fresh fish from the nearby La Plata River. It was perfectly cooked with a light sauce that allowed me to taste the dish. It was served with some perfectly cookeed potatoes. The menu did offer about ten other preparations for this fish dish. My partner loves veal milanesa and was very happy with her meal. We had a young but high quality malbec. We also shared a large salad. The total cost was less than $40. Not five star because a water glass had a major crack and the waiter didn't hava dry white wine so he tried to unload on us a sweet wine with ice cubes. The restaurant was big with a nice friendly feel.
