Great time to be able to get out on the river and enjoy the sun. $18 per tube includes free bus ride to the start and back to your car. Or, bring your own cars and tubes and ride for free!

The five or six times we’ve been, I haven’t seen any gross misconduct or immense amounts of trash so if I had kids, I don’t see an issue taking them. Rapids can get a little rough so hold on tight! On the weekends, expect it to be packed as all heck. Much better on weekdays (Monday-Thursday). Otherwise, you better not mind making friends.

Don’t forget sunscreen! My god you’re going to burn bad if you do. You might as well not go. Bring water, too. If you’re renting tubes, you can rent an extra with a bucket to hold all your stuff in, it’s convenient.

Oh, and if you’re lucky, you’ll see the beautiful wild horses along the river. Don’t try and approach them though, my inebriated buddy learned the hard way...

Great way to enjoy nature and stay cool from the warm temperatures. It was an experience to see wild horses drinking by the edge of river

Saw lots of wild horses and the water temperature and current was great. Staff was friendly however, exiting the river with the current was a little challenging. Be prepared for that and wear shoes, not flip flops!

Pay 17 dollars, pick up an old truck tube, load into an old school bus then launch onto the river with like minded loons. Just be aware if it’s runs fast you might catch a bush and lose expensive sunglasses - one of our group did, take plenty of sunscreen and be aware it’s a minimum of two hours and the pick up points are spaced out. Spectacular views, meet some real mentalists along the river / it’s a party atmosphere for young and old.

We would all do this again

Pack some waters! For the long float, 4 or 5 beers is enough along with your snacks. AN old sheet for covering your tube is great to have, but if you are active, you can just keep splashing water on it to avoid burning yourself. When approaching rapids, MAKE SURE YOU'RE IN THE CENTER OF THE RIVER!! This is especially important for larger groups floating together. Be VERY careful at the exit point #4. There is fairly fast water and lots of round rocks and shallow water that make it difficult to dismount after your 4 or 5 beers. Stay alert and the float will offer many sights of wildlife. Wild Horses, many different bird species and even some fish jumping. The staff is very kind and helpful and this float is a wonderful day trip! We plan to go again!
