This hotel stay in a very good place! In front of the rive, there is a lot of florest, and the swiming pool is a good place to see the sunset. The restaurant is top. The menu is very good. The staff are good too.

By far, our favorite part of this hotel was the view from the swimming pool. We also had a great view of the river from our hotel room. It was also a quick walk into town to eat dinner at any of the fine restaurants!

Room Tip: River view room is preferable!

A long established hotel (1960's?) which could be great again with some overdue maintenance as it certainly has the location (in town on the rivers), build and layout.
Problem is that some of the restaurant staff should seek employment elsewhere and not in the service industry. Rang about 6:00 pm for ice one night as it had not arrived from room service after 30 minutes - woman put the phone down and had a conversation with other staff, and when I attempted to get her attention by saying "hello, hello" several times, she hang up on me. Reception were ok but I asked to see the manager next evening and he did apologise but it would not have been needed if he employed service oriented staff - the hotel was not busy.
On our 2nd night we decided to dine in (dined out at a great local traditional Argentinian restaurant the 1st night recommended by Grayline Tours/City Discovery Tours car driver). This proved to be a big mistake as I ordered the Chorizo sausages but received a steak with a sauce. When I pointed out I had got the wrong meal, the waiter got really aggressive before storming off. He came back with another waiter type and the aggressive guy rudely told me that Chorizo is not a sausage but a steak and as a tourist I did not know what I was talking about. Having travelled the world for 40 years including Spain I have certainly had Chorizo sausages many many times. When neither of them would do anything about my meal I told them I would not being paying for it - the aggressive ripped the food from in front of me and stormed off again. Could not see any point in talking again with the manager who had long gone for the day. Welcome to Argentine.

Room Tip: Stay at the Sheraton hotel where the service is excellent - we had lunch there.

My room and the hotel's common areas were very nice, as they should be for the price they charge. What was extremely annoying was the hotel staff's refusal to exchange foreign currency. In fact the staff claimed that it is illegal for hotels to do foreign exchange. This sounds lame! And it was on a weekend so I had to find an ATM that I could get in. Iguazu Falls was amazing! When I return, I'll consider a different hotel.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience through Trip Advisor.

Firstly, we are sorry to know that you did not have a nice experience with us. Panoramic Hotel Iguazú is committed to excellence and our team works under high quality standards.

All guests are able to pay in pesos, dollars, credit or debit card as informed. In Argentina it is illegal to exchange foreign currency in unauthorized establishments. According to our law, only exchange houses are allowed to do this operation. Furthermore, not even Banks are allowed to exchange unless you have an account, which is unlikely for a Tourist.
If you’ve been in a Hotel which has done this operation, they are breaking the law by doing it unofficially.

We apologize that because we have not been able to comply with your request this has resulted in a dissatisfactory experience.

Hopefully, you will consider staying with us once again in a near future and we will be delighted to improve your opinion of us.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is any other issue that we can collaborate with, or write at my personal email address dkempski@panoramic-hoteliguazu.com

The Panoramic hotel was a great place to stay, pool amazing to relax in after a hot tiring day at the falls. We enjoyed the view from our room, to see there countries awesome.
Breakfast was amazing a huge selection of food. Wi-Fi great, dinner at night in restaurant was value for money. Ate in the bar another night. Would stay again.

Room Tip: river view room the best
