Joined a party for dinner at A Mamma Liberata last week, with the expectation that the place brings in reputation, home-made, family-style pasta with a twist of traditional italian cuisine. The overall experience was somehow a dissapointment, besides the incredibly attentive service and the ability to accomodate us with no reservation, the pasta dishes ( from gnocchi to ravioli to simple carbonara) were all grosely oversized, sauces where not particularly memorable and the pasta, in general standard fare, no home-made taste or feel in any of it.
'A Mamma Liberata' used to be an institution in Pinamar, a place with excellent food for a great time, unfortunately seems that quality has gone down the way side for a abundance of food in the plates. The restaurant will be best served by improving on the quality of the food and reducing the sizes, prices are average to high, so lots of opportunity for improvement.

This is a wonderful place for excellent pasta. Very nice atmosphere, but not stuffy. Choices of pastas and sauces. Deserts are also excellent.

Lovely dinner - very friendly wait staff. Tight quarters inside (not much breathing space between tables) but we really enjoyed the experience.

This restaurant is placed in a side street of Pinamar, not near to the beach, but as it is traditional pasta restaurant and people who look for this kind of food will find it. We were there with a familiy gathering and everybody had a different kind of pasta, mostly satisfying, but I favour the spaghetti with seafood, a very generous mixture of clams, prawns, octopus, calamaretti and a good tomato sauce. If you do not have a big appetite a pasta plate can be shared and your portion is still enough. They have wines at reasonable prices, desserts are not specially varied or original, maybe it is better to finish the meal with just a coffee or a herb tea.

We had a fabulous waiter and great wine, and my Italian American husband loved his pasta. I did not love it, and my eggplant dish was also bland. I think it would be worth eating here again to try more dishes.
