There were 4 of us staying in this hotel for 1 week, and we absolutely loved it. It has a charming boutique hotel feel to it, with a classy lobby and nicely decorated rooms.
We were fortunate enough to get a corner room, which was even bigger that are travel partners non-corner room. Both rooms had lovely tango dance-themed decorations. The ceilings are high, which made it feel roomy.
The breakfast buffet included was such a big positive part of this stay. When searching for hotels online, there was not a plethora of hotels offering breakfast in this price range.
You cannot beat the location, as you are close to major tourist sites, and a subway entrance. The hotel is right next to Palacio Barolo, which is well worth the price of admission. In addition, close by is the Congresso de la Nacion. Also within walking distanced is: Casa Rosada; Obelisco and the B.A. plant sign; Café Tortoni; Florida Street; Av. Corrientes; Teatro Colon; the starting point of a few walking tours; and many more.
We also stayed at another hotel, Emperador Hotel, as this was provided by our cruise company the night before the beginning of our cruise. Tango de Mayo was far better. Emperador was big, impersonal, far from tourist sites, and had poor customer service.
