It was Easter Sunday when we called.... and we had to queue. That being said, the gardens are lovely, well maintained but very very busy. The tranquility is lost somewhat. We enjoyed the rose gardens and parks... for which there is no charge.

What a pleasure to visit these restful gardens and pavilions. Superbly planted and laid out gardens which are clearly maintained on an ongoing basis. Attractive paths guide you through stunning views of the planting and koi pools dotted with clean benches to rest weary feet. An interesting exhibition of Japanese achievements and artifacts is housed in the main pavilion. Well worth the modest entry fee.

I believe the Jardin Japonés is a nice place to go! It is a small garden in which you can feel something of the Japanese culture. If you want a relaxing moment, this could be a good option

We were surprised by how large the Japanese gardens were, probably twice the size of ours in Seattle. Very well maintained. Many opportunities for great photos - walk across brightly painted red bridges and boardwalks. Enjoy the sound of Japanese music and birds, and you will forget you are in a large capital city. Food kiosks, restrooms and gift shops are available. Entrance to the park is on the northeast corner, small entrance fee but very worth it (I think locals enter free). Great for families and people of all ages. Probably quieter during the week. Enjoy!
