We had a great time at Casa Mun. The food was excellent, the communal table dinning a pleasure, overall a terific way to spend an evening. We highly recommend it

“Great dining experience with a twist”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

I went to Casa Mun with friends who live in Buenos Aires and are big fans of Chef Mun and his team. It is a closed restaurant, so it is not a walk-in place, but you have to sign-up and need to be on the guest list to get in. Only 28 guests can be catered for at one time. The location is great in the heart of Palermo. The food is mainly Korean with other Asian and also South American influences. The price is 50 USD per guest, but you get a lot for that money. Not only are the hosts charming and greet you in person and make sure you feel at home there, the loft-style apartment is an architectural delight and worth the visit in itself. You are greeted with champaign which you can sip on the roof terrace before dinner starts. It consists of 5 courses accompanied by a different, matching wine each. Chef Mun explains each of his dishes and his partner the chosen wines. We were a large group of friends so we had a table to ourselves, but the idea usually is to meet and mingle with other guests - like at a big dinner party. The quality of food was excellent. Dietary requirements are catered for, if the chef is notified in advanced. It was a great evening and I would have loved to have the chance to go again!

“Amazing”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

This was my first closed door restaurant experience in ANY country, let alone on vacation in BA. This was a 5 (i think) tasting experience, focusing mainly on Asian-style dishes. The soup with chicken and shiitakes was DELICIOUS, and the fish dishes were extremely fresh and tasty. It was a very intimate experience, with everyone at the table really getting to know each other and enjoy new company while tasting awesome food. This is definitely something you don't want to miss in BA!

“Food and attention that comes from the heart of both the Chef and Host”
Reviewed 6 March 2012

As an expat in BA, the thing I miss most from home are roast pork buns. When I found out that Chef Mun was about to break onto the scene with my favorite dish I made sure to be at the very first dinner! I love love love love love each dish that Chef Mun has prepared. Over the year or so that I've been dining with them, the menu has always been fresh, inspired, creative, DELICIOUS and of the highest quality ingredients that are basically impossible to find here.

Every time I go I always feel like I'm at good friend's dinner party -- the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. It's perfect for meeting new people and getting in on what's hot in the city.

The most important point, however, is the soul of this operation. There are many tourist / food businesses that don't really care about their product or customer satisfaction - at Casa Mun, they care deeply and are truly passionate about serving the best food from their Asian roots and providing everyone with a really special evening. You can see it on Chef Mun's face when he brings out and introduces each course...he is very proud and honored to be serving a group of hungry house guests!!
