Very tastefully decorated with just the right aesthetics for relaxation.
Very convenient location within San Telmo and close to some very good restaurants (El Historico, Brasserie Petanque and Amici Miei Ristorante).
Brigit was always helpful in making suggestions for restaurants and touring options.
Only one small item for improvement is the WiFi connectivity in the back on the second level - there was good coverage in the breakfast area, just not near our room.

We stayed with Brigit both upon our arrival and departure from Buenos Aires (visited several cities in between). Brigit greeted us upon arrival and was very helpful with suggestions regarding what to see/do and restaurants. The B&B was a former artist studio and has high ceilings and brick walls. The bathrooms are very modern and the beds comfortable. The facility was among the cleanest of all of our stays over 2 weeks in Argentina. Outstanding breakfast with eggs, cheeses, sliced meats, breads, etc. Share a bottle of great Argentinian wine (Torrontes white or Malbec red!) in the courtyard. The B&B is in the up and coming neighborhhod of San Telmo, not quite as chic or upscale as the Palermo neighborhood. Be sure and give an extra pet to Peachy the cat, who thinks he is still a kitten.

A fantastic place to stay! I stayed twice there and I felt so very welcomed in this beautiful, charming B&B, which has been marvellously renovated by the owner.
The rooms are big, very clean and make you feel at home.
The breakfast is outstanding. A large buffet with delicious components and fresh food.
It is a wonderful oasis in the heart of San Telmo, calm and relaxing and close to many attractions of Buenos Aires.
The owner is a charming Swiss lady, who runs the place with enthusiam and dedication.
Higly recommended!

Thanks to the reviews we were not too surprised by the neighborhood... once you pass the door and the rough street, Brigit's place is a haven: quiet, very comfortable, and with a wonderful owner. Brigit was not just a helpful host, she also very knowledgeable about her city and a great guide. We had a wonderful and relaxing time at Brigit's after the madness of Buenos Aires activities. We definitely recommend Brigit's place.

My wife and I stayed here in September 2011 during a trip to Uruguay and Argentina. The B&B was really nice. Great rooms, nicely appointed. Really nice outdoor common spaces with tables and chairs. The breakfasts were delicious, too, with fresh bakery brought in every morning, as well as meat, cheese and jam. Brigit was friendly and helpful as well.

The reason for the 4-rating is the location. It ended up working out well, but we were pretty thrown when we arrived. We planned to take the Puerto Madero tram from the Buquebus terminal, but the tram was shut down. No problem, we had minimal luggage and walked along the port. Turning inland towards San Telmo, we were struck by the rampant graffiti, broken sidewalks, and fierce bus traffic. We also missed the B&B entirely as it looked like an abandoned building from the outside. Once inside, though, it's beautiful.

We learned some things pretty quick... graffiti is the norm everywhere. In San Telmo, there are a lot of places that look abandoned until you get inside. And always take Defensa when traversing San Telmo, as Bolivar has TONS of buses and narrow sidewalks.

None of this makes San Telmo a bad place; we really enjoyed it. The problem was adjusting our expectations. There are a lot of postings here about crime in BA, and I think this caused us unnecessary concern as well.

All of this said, I would recommend this B&B.
