me & my husband went to greenland first 2 weeks in august, & it was the best holiday we have ever had from the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff, spent most of our time up the top by the quiet pool it was so relaxing just what we were looking for, on our 2nd day we met joseph at the bottom of the steps where we booked a turkish bath & massage was definately well worth it,it really is a must, the food was good never went hungary & my hubby is the fussiest eater ever but he never starved, waiters are very pleasant & very helpful ecspecially ali hes a character , & the bar staff up the top bar were fantastic especially can, akin & umhet real characters, just down the hill abit outside was a tree where you press the button & you get a taxi in about 30 seconds or further down the hill you can get the bus to hisarano great location & we really cant wait to go back fantastic :-)

Room Tip: we had the honeymoon suite which was very spacious with a spar bath & a shower plus a plasma tv

Just returned from a 7 day stay, wonderful time, spent the week at the top pool which is quieter although the slide in the main pool is worth a go!! Our double room was excellent but the balcony faced onto thick dense fir trees hanging over the railings so not much of a view. I would recommend an update to a delux room . The food is excellent, good quality, varied and plentiful. The all inclusive alcohol does not include Barcardi or any rum at all which is disappointing and the bar shuts at 12 sharp so you can guess what the bar queue is like at 11,45!!. The staff work tirelessly and always in good humour. The evening entertainment is repetative but the live shows are good to watch. Be careful of the slippery tiles around the pools, they are lethal!! Overall a lovely hotel but not for those with limited mobility.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a delux room

Stayed here in September 2007 with my family of 6, 2 parents, 2 teens and 2 children.

Hotel -
Gorgeous hotel grounds and rooms, couldn't fault it.
Rooms always extremely clean maid was in every day.

Food and Drink -
Couldn't fault the meals, superb.
Turkish and English choice.
Kids meals separate room which was good.
Drinks all free if made locally eg, rum, raki, vodka, lager, coke, orange, lemonade, different fruit drinks.
Never waterd down drinks all lovley.

Pool and Grounds -
Pool not too deep.
Slide Great!
Always clean.
Never lack of sunbeds.
Cant go wrong

Loved this hotel although it is in the middle of no were but a taxi to Hisaronu is very cheap and a 5 min drive and Oludeniz around 10 min.

Love OluDeniz stayed there twice now, but Ovacik is nice if you dont like going for walks.

Maybe not the biggest, most expensive or most luxurious all inclusive but at the price this was just right. If good quality food, clean accommodation and friendly staff are important to you then the Greenland hotel is a good bet. Despite arriving at some daft hour (3am local time) we were greeted warmly and soon shown to our room with the minimum of fuss. Bags followed very quickly and the room was just as promised. Over the next week or so we enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel, mostly doing nothing more strenuous than the pool and walks around the grounds. Make time to enjoy the hammocks, an after lunch treat! There was a large selection of food, all looked good and surely must cater for most tastes. Not quite sure how people found room for the afternoon snacks, as good as they were - ok we tried Turkish pizza. The pool bar has to be one of the best run that I have seen. Birol and his colleagues are always busy but always polite and friendly.

Entertainment was simple but amused lots of people and if a quiet drink at the poolside of an evening is not your thing then try the top bar. Olu Deniz and the local market are both only 10 minutes or so away (if you want details of a good local taxi driver please let me know). We also enjoyed a horse ride to the ghost town. This was booked via the hotel reception and was very good value.

When we were there, early July, there was a real mix of ages & nationalities and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. There are always new destinations to go and see but this is one place I could certainly go back to without any second thought. If you have booked to go here or are thinking of doing so then I am jealous, enjoy it! PS If you see a well loved water polo ball in the pool say hi to it from my daughter.....

My husband and i have just returned from our second stay at this hotel. This year and in 2009, as with other reviews i cannot praise the staff at all levels enough, and how friendly and helpful they are. The hotel and grounds are kept spotlessly clean, and the pools are of a high standard.
We choose the deluxe rooms on this stay and were pleased with our room, we would of preferably had one with balcony overlooking the pool, but i would recommend this upgrade.
I do have a couple of niggles,
I think the top pool should be adult only, and the top bar adult only in the evenings. I have nothing against children, but there is a large pool geared for children, and bar also mainly focused on them.It would be nice to have a little light adult entertainment in top bar in the evening, and be able to relax over drinks with other adults.
Also though the menu was was varied for meat eaters, for vegetarians and fish eaters it was much less so. When we stayed here in 2009 the menu was far more varied,Hot fish was available at lunch and dinner, and a hot vegetarian meal at both too. This time hot fish was only offered once at lunch, and twice in the evening!! Also apart from a tomato pasta sauce, and the normal daily vegetables i could not find a hot vegetarian option. The salads were good and varied, and there was a minimal amount of what was called fish salad and cold smoked fish on the salad bar (along with the flies). I did find this disappointing as the excellent menu from our last stay was a big factor in our returning. Though i will add the staff at meal times were a joy, and Mehmet has gained a well earned promotion.

So would we return again?? Most probably, as the setting, the hotel and the staff are four star, lets hope my comments about the food are taken on board, and it goes back to being four star as it was in 2009. I would most probably still recommend the hotel to friends, but not as highly as i did before, Sorry.
