We generally always stay at Regnum Carya as it never dissapoints, however decided to give the Maxx Royal Belek a go. When comparing to the Regnum both hotels are great in terms of efficient service provided, cleanliness, food options, luxury and customer service provided.

-The roller blade girls by the pool are great, they have however been transfered from Regnum Carya Hotel as i remeber them working there last year.
-The Maxx assistant app is a bonus.
-x3 ala carte restaurants are extra charge which is a shame really for a hotel classing themself as royalty.. travellers visiting this hotel have already paid enougth.

-The service from staff serving at restaurants or pools cannot be faulted as its spot on.
A special thanks in general to: Ahmet serving in the evenings at the outside seating area where shisha is based. Ahmet is the most freindly amazing person i have met to date at any hotel!

A special thanks also to: Bilal and Esat at the italian restaurant: very professional amazing service.
Bilal also served us on our special dinner one evening at the pier and i award him 5 stars.

-Nursel Ece (roller blade) also amazing, we remeber her from Regnum..

What ruined my overall view of this hotel is that: i booked a special suprise romantic dinner for my girlfreind one evening and all went well.

Upon our checkout our party had different flights to catch as i was visiting a dentist to get some work done so i checked out 10am in the morning and paid reception all extras bills.
I was charged for rooms 1211 and 1215 around 2000 ytl. I settled balance and was given confirmation bills and receipt, so i left.
My girl freind and rest of the party was due to checkout for 3pm as a transfer was scheduled for pick up.
Once room 1215 attended reception to hand over keys they were told that there was an outstanding bill for room 1211.
So my girlfreind returned back to reception as she was present when i closed the bills in the morning, she was notified by another man that reception lady in the morning has done a mistake and forgot to add on 600euros for the romantic suprise dinner i had arranged for her and that payment needed to be made.
She mentioned i had left and settled all extras in the morning however this gentleman insisted she tell them which dentist i was visiting so that they could come and recover the payment.

Later on she requested our maxx assistant Semih as he was present once i paid bills.
He appologised and said they didnt see this extra charge etc etc.

Our party left and untill the our arrival back into the UK i had missed calls and messages as a result of hotels mistake.
I felt embarrassed towards my girlfreind and rest of party as if i never paid for extras.
My girlfreind also had a missed call again on her phone from the hotel.

I called Mr semih upon my arrival to the UK and was sent over bank details to tranfer money.

From such a professional hotel this kind of attitude is not expected,
The suprised was ruined asking my partner to pay. If a mistake has been made on your side then you fix it. Its not acceptable to harrass guests after they check out.

I run many restaurants in london and cannot simply call my customers once they have left stating we forgot to charge for drinks or a dessert.

Our family had booked to visit in late october however will cancel they stay and just stick to Regnum.

A holiday which started well was ruined.
Would not be returning.

Dear “london19844”,

Thank you for visiting our hotel and for taking the time to share your review. Whilst we were happy to read that you had a pleasant holiday and particularly enjoyed the service, it is a pity to hear that the confusion at the checkout affected the whole impression. We apologize for this misunderstanding and would like to say that we will be glad to have you as our guests again one day in the future.

Kind regards,

More than 5 stars hotel we had lots of fun !! All inclusive, the food is delicious and always fresh. The chocolate served is so yummy. Besides, our child had lots of fun at the maxi land!! We have visited other hotels in Antalya but this is the best one not only over Antalya over turkey i guess!!! It was really an unforgettable vacation. In addition to all the fun we had, Maxxroyal hotel offered us a special entrance to the CIP lounge in the Turkish airport in which we relaxed till the gate was opened!! Special thanks to Miss faten and Miss mariam who assist us during our vacation

Just to set the scene, this was a big splash out for us as this hotel is really pricey. Think of an expensive holiday, double it then add a bit. So as you can imagine our expectations were very high. It was fantastic but there were just a couple of things that let it down.

Good bits.
Maxx Assistants on WhatsApp were a great idea for any questions you had. Facilities were really good; cinema, bowling alley, arcade, gym, patisserie and chocolatier to name a few. Bars were great and there was an abundance of branded drinks, staff were very attentive and no sooner had you finished a drink than you were offered another one.
Food was very good in the Al a Carte restaurants and it was nice that you could just wander in and choose where you wanted to go rather than be restricted to a booking time but I wouldn't say it was fine dining. The steakhouse at an extra cost was fantastic.
The hotel itself looked amazing and there were loads of fancy bits that made you feel extra special like the champagne and chocolate covered strawberries on arrival. There were always loads of sun beds available and the whole place was spotless. The kids club was very good and the shows they put on at night were better than in the main complex in my view. Overall it was brilliant, but...

Not so good bits.
The main restaurant buffet had people in swimwear wandering about and on one occasion they left wet seats behind them. Also kids on scooters and hover boards which was inappropriate as well as dangerous. I'm not adverse to kids, I have one but I wouldn't even let him to go into McDonalds on a scooter let alone a 5 star hotel.
We had a land view suite which was huge and the extras you get are great, the wardrobe space wasn't tall enough for floor length dresses so they trailed. Also, our son got into our bed one night so I took his sofa bed which I have to say was like lying on a park bench. This annoyed me a bit as we paid full price for him, so at over a thousand pounds a week a park bench wasn't what I would have expected. That said, I asked our Maxx assistant to get us a bed and it was in the room when we returned but that maybe should have been thought of.
Information was a bit thin on the ground, we had no idea what was on offer and could have done with a bit of guidance on what there was. For example, I went for a wander round the pool bar and saw one of the bar men putting veg through a juicer. Who would have known that was available??
The advertised CIP lounge with hostess to get you through the airport was terrible. No hostess and once we had made it through the queues to the lounge that was a massive let down. I would rather have been expecting the normal crappy airport experience than expecting it to be pleasant and then be such a let down.

To summarise, this place is immense and if you can afford it then go and have a brilliant holiday. If you are splashing out and expecting perfection with knobs on then just think carefully. Would I go again... Yes if money was no object but we work hard for our cash and I do like my luxuries but it needs to be value for money and for this one holiday I could have two in another 5 star hotel. We did have a very relaxing holiday and the staff were absolutely brilliant.

We have been to the Maxx Royal over a dozen times since it opened in 2011. We absolutely love it. Bit pricier than other hotels in the area but worth every penny. On our last visit in May, the new a la carte restaurant concept was fabulous. The Italian restaurant was even more fabulous thanks to our waiter Mullah! His attentiont to detail, service and humour were fantastic. All of the staff at the Maxx Royal are special, but, on our last visit Mullah excelled. Thank you so much, we hope to see you either at Christmas and/or next May

Room Tip: All rooms good. We dont spend much time in ours so makes no difference unless you want a sea view at a supplement.
