Great little residencies, with loads of vintage character. Not fancy, but clean and fantastic location on pedestriab street 1/2 block from main square. Manager incredibly helpful when we ran into luggage problems and preparing a picnic breakfast when we wished yo leave early.

Could be better with a bit of T.L.C, Although thus guest house has some good reviews which is why we stayed here . It does not come close to them ....The bedroom was clean , but was not impressed with the bed , I am 5 feet 11 inches or 180.34cm and my head was touching the head bored and my feet over hanging the mattress by 5 inches or 12.7cm and in the morning there were ants all over the bed and in the bathroom . The Bathroom very very dated and needs attention to get it anywhere near 2010 , let alone 2018 .. also needed a good clean of black mould , rusty heater etc , see pictures attached of the Bathroom .... Our bedroom was quiet , but only because we had ask for a quiet room in advance , so we had a room at the back of the hotel....The breakfast in the morning was poor , a very basic continental breakfast . Cold boiled eggs , no other option , not even scrambled eggs or bacon . Only had corn flakes for cereal , there was one other option but the dispenser was broken and the staff walked past it many times an did nothing about it , not as if you could not see it , with white broken plastic bits all around it . Will we stay in this guest house again , No is the answer .

Room tip: Never saw a good room here

The hotel is really well located and the staff is nice but the quality of the room is not sufficient to be confortable.... the mattress was so thin that we could feel the resorts all night and the bathrooms need a major renovation job....

Arrived very late at night but Jorge was there to welcome us he speaks excellent english and very friendly. The rooms were very simple but extremely clean. The architecture and design is very nice. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. The rooms are cleaned daily by a lovely person who also speaks good english called Maria. Will recommend the hotel and will come back...Obrigada Jorge!

All has been said before by reviewers, in that it's a great location for train & bus station, it's on the Camino de Santiago and you can see the yellow arrows at both ends of the street. Tomar Castle is within walking distance and although the hotel only serves breakfast you have several restaurants next to the hotel and adjoining streets serving good food in the evening.
The room and bathroom are clean, of that there is no doubt but there needs some major effort to improve the bathrooms at the very least. My shower had a plastic lip that could seriously injure you as it's to stop water coming out of the shower but it's too sharp and has just been glued into place, therefore you need to climb over it with care! The quality of the furniture is not very good but it could be amazing with a little vision.
Breakfast is surprisingly good with a wonderful selection of fresh rolls, boiled eggs, ham & cheese, not to mention the famous Portuguese custard tarts, cakes & croissant. All beautifully presented buffet style.
The welcome was very friendly and if the bathrooms were improved I would definitely return as the location is in the best area.
You can do a day trip to Fatima even if you arrive late morning as there's a bus at the nearby bus station at 12:40pm which returns at 18:30pm, though do check times as they may have changed.
It's 5 stars for location, breakfast and staff but only 3 for maintenance and furnishings.
