Sat out on the terrace for Sunday lunch. Spectacular views over Noordhoek Long Beach looking South. We only had main courses. The lamb shoulder was excellent slow cooked very tender and the cutlet served with it was also very good and just the right amount of pink. Kob was also excellent. My partner had the duck which was tasty but a little tough. Service could be improved but they were quite busy. They added an extra bottle of wine to our bill. Hopefully a genuine mistake and not a scam. Not an intimate restaurant but the views make it well worth a visit.

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback and apologies that you were let down by our service!

At the start of season we have many new faces, who, inspite of rigorous training, may feel a bit overwhelmed on their first busy Sunday shift. On this occasion, the waiter unfortunately rung up the additional bottle of wine on the wrong table.

We are confident that it was beginners bad luck - rather than a scam as our stock levels are checked against sales on a daily basis, and both the waiter who made the error - and the manager on duty, brought this mistake to my attention.

We once again apologise for this mistake!
Warm regards

HI Mike - apologies!

The reason for stemless glasses at our market is that most of our guests sit on our beautiful lawns where stemmed glasses are a nightmare.

Also, with literally 1000's of guests on a market night it's impossible to keep track of our belongings - without a deposit, the stemless glasses that you hate seem to simply fly out of our gate lol.

Warm regards
Lizanne

We were recommended to come here on a Thursday evening for the food market which runs from November throughout the summer. Gets very busy so get here as it opens at 4.30 if you can. Plenty of parking but you’ll be quite a distance away if you’re late. Magnificent views from the terrace across Noordhoek beach and to sit here and watch the sunset was a pleasure in itself. Add on the chance to sample the local wine and many craft beers, even better, then the food market offers just about anything you can think of, freshly cooked and reasonable prices. There were also quite a few craft stalls selling jewellery, paintings etc. Well worth a trip.

We stopped here for lunch and we were so happy ! The view from the lunch terrace is stunning and the lunch was really great. Three of us had a very nice tuna dish. The fourth of us had the beef fillet in mushroom sauce. He nominated that lunch to be the best meal of the whole two week trip in South Africa ! Whatever you do don’t miss that dish when visiting.
As we were driving we did not do the wine tasting more than a glass at the meal. Also that very nice.

We loved this place, the food, wine and cocktails were amazing. But we did not know we needed to book the picnic spots in advance. We noticed a few families leaving after their picnic and asked if we could take their place and use the pillows and blankets, we did not mind paying the full charge. We were told no, as they cannot do this without early bookings. So the pillow and blanket that was not been used, was not even allowed to be re used. I don't see the point in refusing us.
