Although MVR appears to be a high end place to stay it doesn't deliver on his promise. The facilities are seriously in need of renovation and/or thorough cleaning. The amenities are minimal relative to price.
Service is friendly, but seem not to have the support of management to ensure everything is perfect.
The only good thing was the restaurant

Took my wife for a night away from the kids on Thursday, to Monkey Valley, Noordhoek

Been their before years ago and had a real good time. Unbelievable how things has changed over a few years.

For a double room they supply a single set of old flimsy towels. Then again everything else in that unit was old and flimsy, besides the new shower. Speaking of which, be warned, if you're taller than 1.78m, then be prepared to hunch / keep you neck down, or bending, to prevent pumping your head against the shower rose. which is at 1.78m! Rather uncomfortable and not enjoyable at all.
Thankfully I didn't had to use the crown - hard single ply toilet paper. Only a 1 and 2 star establishment should ever be allowed to supply this.
Nice fireplace, just a pity the screen is completely covered in soot - filthy hands every time one needs to top up the fire.
Never mind the early 90's 51cm box TV with no remote - my apologies - you have to request 1. Only sports channels and SABC. And don't think you can stream a movie or 2. No, the WiFi doesn't work.
And if you want to switch the outside light on when going out, then you have to request the security to come and fit a bulb.
I can go on and on.
5 Star views - and that is it. Restaurant is ok, but would rather recommend Jakes in the Village. Awesome vibe, awesome food, and modern!

If you are lucky enough to travel to Cape Town and get a chance to drive to Chapman’s Peak go a little further and do not miss this amazing gem!!!

It’s a resort with a dozen or more individual cabins and rooms which are well kept, charming and each with a view of the most fantastic beach I’ve ever seen.

This place we stumbled upon and regret that we hadn’t planned to stay here for 3-4 days.

We had lunch on the terrace overlooking the scenic Noordhoek Bay and the views are breathtaking! The food and service was excellent!

The natural beauty of this place takes top honors. I just can’t say enough about it so I’ll let my pics speak for me. Do not miss this place. Seriously.
