Well located, clean, if you have younger kids request a room with a sleeper couch as the loft stairs are very steep. Room clean and comfy, Restaurant served a value for money meal for the kids, Calamari was awful, bland looking and tasting, Fireplace was warm and cosy. Breakfast was basic, hot buffet not very appetizing. Service was very good, friendly and willing to assist. Parking on site, ,

Room tip: Family Room with younger kids request a room with sleeper couch

What an awesome little hotel in the middle of George. The easy access to the Highway makes it a great rest stop while touring the Garden route. Simple rooms that make it pleasant. They include everything you meed for a night or two.

The manager, Jonel Ackerman was really very helpful and considerate. I got excellent service from the staff and they are very friendly, breakfast was a buffet with a variety of stuff, I especially liked the chicken livers. The room was spotless, I will definitely stay there again. P Scholtz

It is not our first time staying at the Hotel. The staff is so helpful with everything!!! The service was very good and we loved the buffet breakfast especially the chicken livers!! We had supper one evening and my son (who is 16 years) had 2 portions of chicken strips, it was so nice. The rooms were perfectly clean and the towels & bedding white & fresh. It was cold but there were cherry on arrival with a lovely fire place!! Will go back again.

Half way between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth the hotel is ideal for a restful overnight stay. Friendly welcome by reception staff. We had a downstairs room overlooking the pool area which was nicely decorated and very quiet. Dinner consisted of generous portions. Good Continental or English breakfast served. Secure parking at the back of the hotel. It was a welcoming sight to have General Manager Jonel Ackerman showing interest in her client’s well being. Next time in George......Oakhurst Hotel is on our list again. HM Korsch
