We spent three nights at this magnificent establishment. Not much else to say.

Position is A1 as it is on the waterfront surrounded by a variety of bars and restaurants. It is connected to the main shopping mall which again is for ease of access.

The food and beverage is first class and like all of South Africa reasonably priced.

The staff are extremely well trained and very helpful. Service again five star.

The rooms are very large and elegant. The bed and bathroom are first rate.

Will definitely be coming back here.

Thank you for making my stay such a memorable one.

We arrived in Cape Town and the Table Bay Hotel was in probably the best location on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. It was close to all the shops and restaurants with its own entrance to the shopping mall.
After insisting on getting a room with a view that we had paid for I could not fault any aspect. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking Robin Island - if you book a room overlooking the waterfront it will be less tranquil.

The Table Bay Hotel is gloriously situated on the quayside. It is a beautiful five star with helpful staff and high quality food.
However, if you are a light sleeper do not be tempted to upgrade into Superior Luxury Room because the noise level from outside during the night will certainly keep you awake.
Moored alongside the hotel are very large Tug Boats used to tow the Cruise liners etc. The start-up of the massive engines at about half past three in the morning and the ongoing thrumming of the big engines as they come and go wipes out any possibility of sleep.
Staff were as helpful as they could be and, having complained after the first night, we were moved from the first floor to the fourth floor on day two of our five day stay; but even so I was still wakened as the Tugs thrum thrumed in and our during the night. Superior Luxury Room! Have they not heard of triple/double glazing?

Room Tip: Because there does not appear to be double/triple glazing in any of the rooms, if you want a quiet room, choose one away from the quay

Good Day Ms Rosemary Kelly,

Thank you for taking the time to compose your feedback regarding your stay.

In regards to the Harbor noise, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience experienced during your stay.
We fully understand your frustration and will forward your valued suggestion to the relevant manager. Although we are limited in our capacity to promptly resolve this matter, I am pleased that an alternative was offered in response to the initial report. Upon future bookings, may I suggest a sea facing room on the opposite side of the hotel. The sea facing side of the hotel does not face the harbor and will be more suitable.
With the exception of the Harbor noise, we are delighted to read that you are pleased with the remainder of the services experienced.

Please rest assured that we shall do our utmost to ensure that you have a good night’s rest during your next stay at the Table Bay Hotel.

We wish you a pleasant onward journey and look forward to welcoming you back to the Table Bay Hotel.

Kind Regards,

We spent a night at the Table Bay hotel. Our room faced Table Mountain -which in our opinion would be the only way to stay. The room was very nice, updated, clean and wonderful. The staff at the hotel was first class. The breakfast that came with our room was excellent. The Hotel is in a great location to do whatever you want to do in Cape Town.

Room Tip: You want a view of Table Mountain.

Great location right on the V&A Waterfront. One of the three best hotels in Cape Town, alongside Cape Grace and One&Only.

Spacious rooms with views of the waterfront. A lively area, late into the night, which made us feel safe.

We had been told the breakfast is supposed to be one of the best in South Africa. We were slightly disappointed with the spread.

On the whole, a good experience. Safety of location the most important advantage. Probably expect slightly more for the premium that is charged.

Room Tip: Safety of location
