HomeFromHome manages different types of apartments in Cape Town. I have stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment at Waterfront and a 1 bedroom apartment at Icon which is located on border of city centre and the Waterfront. The Icon apartments are walking distance from CTICC Cape Town International Conference Centre. The apartments are serviced well, have all the basics in kitchen and bathrooms. All-round good stay with no hassles.

I booked and stayed with Home From Home CT last March (2016) and found the place ideal, last March I was given a 1 bedroom apartment in the Rockwell Hotel & Suites. I booked again this time for 4 nights & a further 2 nights during the last week of April, arriving on 20th April check in was polite and efficient I was given an apartment in the Queyside building which was pretty nice providing a small balcony comfortable bed nice kitchen and bathroom although not as nice as the Rockwell it was pretty good with good parking and a small shop downstairs for drinks etc.etc. I did have a problem with the wifi connection however this was corrected the following morning.. The staff at home from home are really very nice can't help enough.. The 2nd stay 28th April I was given 1 bedroom apartment in a separate block next to the 'Firemans Arms' pub very open plan with 1 bedroom & lounge balcony although it was pretty noisy during the night from traffic and nightclub music close by.. For 2 nights it was okay... Again staff where very accommodating ... Good secure parking.. Walking was reasonably safe although near the Seapoint police station there are some deserted streets at night.. I would stay again if the price was right although I would prefer the Rockwell if I did

In the internet the accomodation was praised with having 24 hour security, reception and concierge. Nothing was available! The "reception" is based in a totally different area of town and was not at all friendly or customer oriented. It was never mentioned that the apartments are located far away from anybody who feels responsible for this apartment. Equipment very poor and view terrible.
Never again!

Dear Gabrielle

Thank you for sharing your feedback in regards to your recent stay with us at our De Waterkant Luxury Apartments. All the buildings we operate in does have 24hr security, I am not sure why you say there was no security since they are located by the lobby you pass through and they are the ones who were controlling access to the building. We do have apartments in different buildings in De Waterkant area and our check ins happens at our Harbouredge office which is less than 50 meters away and this information available on all our booking channels.

We hope you will give us another opportunity to host you again in the near future.

Warm regards,

Henry Kaputa,

We have just returned from Cape Town and once again we stayed at the Icon apartments in the Foreshore. These are self catering but have all the amenities of a hotel and are fully serviced.
The staff are friendly and always helpful. If you do not know where to go or what to do you even have a tour desk in the foyer.
You have some shops and restaurants in the vicinity and we highly recommend True Itallic for some very freshly prepared Italian dishes with original flavours.
If you do book make sure you pay the little extra and get a superior room as opposed to the standard room as they have a sea view and are a lot quitter.
True value for money with some home luxuries in 1, 2, or 3 bedroom apartments.
We walked to the waterfront each day as that is how close you are, 10-15 min walk and it is flat.
You are very centrally situated and a lot of nightlife also takes place within walking distance.

Room Tip: Make sure you upgrade to a superior room with a sea view as they are quieter.

Stayed in a 2 bed apartment in the marina residence, a very nice stay.

The apartment has a great location, 5 mins to the waterfront, and is secure & the complex well maintained.

The apartment itself was very well appointed, tea, soap powder etc, nice toiletries and comfortable beds. Parking as well which is great. Wifi & lots TV channels.

The 2 bed apartment could sleep 4 quite comfortably for a holiday. Good cleaning service, lots fresh towels etc etc.

Would recommend to F&F visiting CT.

***apartment provides 1 SA to European adapter for plugs, suggest you take a few more as 1 really is not sufficient for phones, Ipads, camera, GHDs etc etc. Nite, its the 3 pin fat round adapter you require***
