Review of Garden Route

From what I understand the Garden Route officially runs from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town, and this is the most popular areas that are visited.

For those wishing to experience nicer coastlines and beaches, I suggest continuing north from Port Elizabeth and head along the Wild Coast all the way to Sodwana Bay.

Either way, they are unmissable.

The roads are generally in excellent condition, driving on the left like in the UK is very handy, the petrol stations in SA are brilliant you don't even need to step out of the car, the attendants fill up for you and even clean your windows for a tip! The garden route was good but I have to say I preferred route 62 as it was more picturesque and less busy. An easy stop along the N2 is the service station at the Storms River Bridge where you can park up, visit the toilets and restaurants/shops and take a walk along the arch bridge

In the month of October it was very nice to visit the Capetown, the journey between Cape Town to Knysna was very good. Though it was very far route we have choose to go via the Garden route to enjoy the journey. Our driver was very good he was cracking jokes and explain about south africa and all the places.r.
