On arrival we had thought that parking in the main car park and having to trolley our luggage to our chalet was rather inconvenient, BUT once at the chalet we realised that this makes the accommodation private and peaceful - no noisy vehicles starting up at the crack of dawn!
The chalets are very quaint with thatch and an outdoor lapa (also thatched) - well equipped and no-smoking.
We used the restaurant for a breakfast, lunches and suppers and can highly recommend the food - very varied and interesting, well prepared and inexpensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - 5 days flew by - would loved to have stayed longer.

What a surprise. MOKALA is a find! Saw Roan, Eland, and many other buck we dont see very often. Buffalo drinking at a wonderful bird hide too. As a birder.... dedinitely a place to visit. Mosu Lodge good accommodation. Warm, comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchens. Spent 2 great nights at the camp and will return. Good stop if doing Kimberley road to the western Cape.

We stayed here for the weekend and what a lovely camp. With limited accommodation options you are guaranteed a small camp experience without the number of people associated with a larger camp.

There is a restaurant, very small shop (only stocks basics) and waterhole.

Make sure you know what your accommodation offer as some come with a fully equipped kitchen while other units only have a small little fridge without a braai. Given the small shop, plan and take whatever you need with you as the shop does not have any food like in other parks.

A really lovely place if you're looking for a quiet weekend away.

I spent 3 night in this national park and generally I enjoyed it. Did not see that many animals due to the fact that I visited late in the season.
The chalet was well appointed and had all you could need for a self catering stay.
Also made use of the restaurant and unfortunately their stock was a bit low of most of the interesting menu items, like the venison.
The road to Mokala is also in bad shape. Drive-able with a sedan, but not advised. It is supposed to be repaired at some point, but no one seems to know when. The worst parts of the road is when you encounter the red/brown parts of the gravel road. The washboard is so bad that you cannot drive faster than 20kph unless you have a proper off-road vehicle.

Mosu is a very small SANParks operated Lodge in the Mokala NP. The Chalet i stayed was well designed and very clean in the beginning, the beds are good. The only problem is that they apparently are not serviced daily if you are staying longer there. When one comes back from the morning game drive only the dustbin is emptied, no cleaning of the room or bath, no bedmaking, no refilling of tea/coffee/sugar/milk.
The restaurant is rather good , try the venison curry, it's delicious!
