It's the second time I visit. I must admit the starter this time around was brilliant. I suspect the menu changes so I will mention the Caprese as a starter for this review. The hero of the dish, the smoked panna cotta, did not overpower the dish, yet it there was a lingering in my pallet that was satisfying. The crispness of the basil glass rounded off the texture. I would have like a slight bit more saltiness in the panna cotta though.
For a main course I opted for the rump with bearnaise and some other delicious sounding accompanying extras. It was presented on a dauphine style potato and highly recommended. The rump was tender, juicy and perfectly medium rare as requested.
A welcome addition to the Kimberley guesthouse community, this restaurant is part of the Oleander Guesthouse, which has a 5 star rating.
