Really enjoyed our two night stay as part of our SMARTOURS Kruger National Park Tour.... Food was good and staff was pleasant. Enjoyed dinner and breakfast buffets.
Highly recommend SMARTOURS Capetown Kruger Safari Express tour...

We often stay at the Winkler on our way from, say, Sun City to KNP. Just overnight only.
This time we had Sunday dinner (we usually eat out) which was a carvery. Nothing spectacular but edible and sufficient.
Problem with rooms though. We had asked for two rooms next to each other and they tried to out us on different floors. We had 4 suit cases, 6 food bags plus hand luggage to sort out. They took a bit of persuading to give us rooms that were more practical. We got there in the end.

Room tip: If you have baggage avoid the below reception level rooms.

Sincere apologies with the room allocation. Whilst we always try our best to accommodate everyone's prefernces, sometimes it is nigh on impossible with all the tour groups that we have. Glad they managed to resolve it for you thouh.

The hotel was ok, staff friendly and helpful. The bathrooms need major work. they put us in a handicap room without advising us, the shower curtain was far too small so the bathroom flooded when we showered. the beds were average. View that is advertised is really over rated, there was no real view at the hotel especially from the rooms. Don't feel it was value for money.

Room tip: ensure you ask for ground floor unit

Polite & professional staff. Good buffet. Suite was spacious and neat. Convenient access to N4. Was close for me to Numbi Gate, Panorama route, etc. My family and I were comfortable for our 4 nights stay.

We stayed during a long weekend and a big dissapointment. Firstly the satelite channels where not available. We only got that info after we cheched in. Secondly after that when we got a channel that we could watch the channel was changed and lost for ever. I repeatly phoned only to be told they are working on it....and so it was never resolved.
The one positive is that the staff is friendly but sadly they won't see me again.
