The hotel located on the main route Samir's Machel street on the east of the town as you drive out of nelspruit towards Malalane. A very nice hotel, beautiful and friendly team at reception. Kitchen staff was disappointing to say the least both during dinner and breakfast you had staff including the manager who don't listen.

We had a unwell member of our group she does not eat anything " except brown bread and egg" in the restaurant she only drank tea and we requested the team to allow her to take the bread sandwich with egg same along, they said hotel policy does not allow- we said to them the lady has not eaten anything- they agreed but said policy is policy - we called the manager who had seen that the lady did not eat he sang the same song of policy. Hospitality industry must not have such insensitive teams.

We had a day to explore Kruger Park and do a day safari. Leon, hotel manager, put us in contact with Bongi of IzizweRainbow tours. First rate service and experience. Transported us to park where we met the first female guide, Albertina, who took us on a great adventure. I travel a lot and was so impressed by this group of bright, ernest and caring people who wanted to share their Africa with us. Amazing! they're relatively new.

You will be as equally pleased. 5 star for this service

Hotel 3 1/2 to 4. Rooms were nice. Staff was great. Hotel receptionist not the friendliest or most knowledgeable.

We enjoyed everything about the hotel, with one big BUT...

We left cards with Reception as they'd offered to post them. When we saw the amount on our bill we queried it - but they reassured us that it was correct. Eight weeks later we hear that one card has arrived, in Australia, with just the local stamp upon it. The other seven are still travelling, presumably by sea.

It's little thoughtless things like that.

We stayed in 110 - bottom floor. I would stay away from that side due to proximity to car park. Pool facing will be better. We ended here unplanned as it was too late to drive back to JHB - luckily we had a change of clothes. They could not pick up my Prokard details which i found strange as i logged into my account using my mobile. I was disappointed that the prokard rate was about the same as the walk-in rate. As they struggled with prokard profile - i had to just take the walk-in rates.

We were tired so opted for the buffet supper. The home made chilli sauce was the bomb! variety was not that good for a Saturday night. Only had Chicken, Wors and Pork for main protein. They had a grill and when i asked what was available for grill - nothing for the buffet - only the a-la-carte. This is disappointing - at least have some fish or steak for a weekend?

The food/beverage manager on shift that night was great. We had 2 families with 3 kids of various ages. The kids were running around and playing with the balloons - especially our little 3yr old. They set up the PS4 for the other kids. Some people at supper complained about the noise around the time the kids were ready for bed - so we went to sleep.

Breakfast was good - usual fanfare. I expected to see more fresh fruit - melons were not sweet and juicy. good breakfast.

Room Tip: bottom floor (no lifts) - pool facing (away from parking area)

As advised by the receptionist, water is complimentary and you could call reception any time to request. Called reception and an hour later I was still waiting for the water. Had to walk to reception to get my own water cause they forgot about me. To top it off, when I called to speak to the GM I was conviently put through the person who gave the water at reception. How convenient- receptionist working together to cover their own mistakes. Totally unacceptable.
