We stayed at the lodge 6 years ago. We loved it so much that we knew we would go back. Which we did. It is so relaxing. And very simple living. Roughing it out in a bit of style. The view is spectacular and provides a much needed breath of fresh air after the hustle and bustle in Johannesburg. Close to various amenities. We went horse riding and also visited the Botanical Gardens. Kids also love it so will definitely go back there again.

Spectacular views and amazing bird life surround these self catering chalets. Very homely and relaxing atmosphere and the host, Floris and hostess, Santie Momberg go out of their way to provide hospitality. A lovely swimming pool and lapa with braai facilities offer a very good venue for a family reunion or birthday celebration. There is also a very nice coffee shop for people looking for a stop on a drive and this has playground equipment for kids in very relaxing surroundings. Different categories of accommodation are available, ie king size, double or single beds all en suite and an above average bouquet is available on the TV. We stayed in a chalet which was roomy and would have been ideal for kids, with an upstairs room.

Maskmountain Chalets is situated 4kms outside Nelspruit, surrounded by mountain views in the beautiful The Rest Valley. Close to the Kruger National Park, Sabie, Hazyview, Pilgrims Rest, Graskop, Gods Window and many more fun attractions. Mozambique and Swaziland Borders are within 1.5 hours drive. The Chalet we stay at, on our trip to Nelspruit in 2011, had one king size bed and a single bed, a bathroom with shower, a kitchen with all the facilities and a Satellite DSTV. The furniture was very rustic, all made by local wood and the rooms décor was nice. Outside the Chalet we have a braai area and a small balcony with the fantastic views for the mountains. Each Chalet had its own car parking area. The Hotel also had a swimming pool and a bar outside the Chalets. The sunset in the evening is amazing and in morning we can breath pure air. We find some insects inside the Chalet but its normal due to the area. Staff was also not to friendly but this place is amazing.
