Another visit to one of our favourite eating places in Ballito. The meet and greet was done immediately the staff. Vusi our waiter was efficient and caring allowing us time before each course. We had starter platter livers, chourico and calamari with fresh crispy rolls and an excellent sauce. The baby chicken was as if made in Mozambique, tasty with excellent peri peri bite, but not detracting from the excellent basting and taste. Bacalhau A Bras was as good as it was many years ago. Always a favourite when we visit. Rudy was also excellent. Always up there with our favoutites. SUPERB!!

Had a family lunch there, and it was one of the best meals overall in a long time. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fresh and tasty and prepared the authentic Portuguese way. Also had the best oysters ever.

We had dinner at Beira Alta on Thursday night and enjoyed it so much that we went there again on Friday. The bacalhau was amazing and tasted very similar to a dish made by my Portuguese mother-in-law according to my husband. That in itself is an amazing compliment to the chef. I had the prawn bisque and it was beautiful. On the second visit I had a fillet with jalapenos and feta and it was superb. Definitely worth a visit. It was very pricey but worth it for special occasion.

Been to Beira and Alta a few times and has never been disappointed. Very good steaks. My recent visit i ordered the Ricardo Surf and Turf. It consist of fillet steak and prawns. The steak was perfect as ordered and the prawns was finger licking good. Fikele was our waitress and her service was very good. We can highly recommend this restaurant for dining out particularly for their steaks.

We ate at Beira twice and both times the food was outstanding. Bacalhau, the best I've had in a very long time( I'm Portuguese), my wife's fillet was fantastic. Lovely vinho verde and good service. Really a wonderful experience at Beira Alta, we wouldn't hesitate to go back. A 4.5 but for the location in shopping centre, should be at the beach.
