We have been to John Dory’s on numerous occasions for take away sushi platters. The quality of the platters has been consistently excellent.
My husband and I had the pleasure to have lunch at John Dory’s about two weeks ago. We chose a table inside this time around. Our waitress, Belinda was very friendly, hands on yet unobstrusive. All the staff we encountered was professional and very friendly. A male manager came to enquire if we were satisfied by our specific (by name) meals. This gesture truly impressed us.
We were spoilt for choice on the menu. We both had the prawn tail starters. The dish consisted of 6 prawn tails cooked in garlic butter and covered in a creamy white sauce, topped with mixed cheese and oven baked. This was absolutely heavenly. The bread rolls on the side was the perfect vessel to mop up the delicious sauce.
My husband had the Hake Thermidor which consisted of two Hake fillets covered in a cheesy prawn and mushrooms and topped with mussels. He declared each and every bite as delicious.
I made use of the Wednesday half price selected sushi. I ordered an 8 piece platter and added half price Tempura prawns (3) and deep fried Futomaki (3). The tempura prawns was meaty and succulent inside. The Futomaki consisted of 3 tempura battered Maki rolls filled with tuna, salmon, prawn, cucumber and avocado. I thoroughly enjoyed every scrumptious bite.
We had a bottle of Ken Forrester Sauvignon Blanc which was excellent.
The high level of service we experienced and the superior quality of the food at John Dory’s Centurion ensure that we will be back and back again.
