This former family home has been cleverly converted into one roomed apartments, which have self catering facilities and a bathroom, as well as a fridge. We slept very comfortably in a lovely bed, and the breakfast was comprehensive, catering for all tastes, with the cooked breakfast being very impressive. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and she employs loyal and honest staff. The house is situated very near to excellent shopping facilities in Claremont, and also offers parking behind a locked gate for the hire car. Fellow residents we met go out there every year and, not being drivers, they travel on local minibuses which run along the nearby Main Road. It would be wise, however, to purchase mosquito repellent before taking up residence here, as the swimming pool seems to attract the little pests. My only niggle in the accommodation is the shutters between the bedroom and the bathroom - there is very little space for modesty and embarrassment about bodily functions here - NOT recommended for new lovers/ honeymooners! The view of Table Mountain is spectacular, but then I would say that as I grew up round the corner from this house...
