A dubious rated hotel with some upgraded rooms and some not at all.
Got a room with a window in the shower overlooking some balcony....
Breakfast was average with dirty table cloths on banqueting round tables. Attended the Saaci AGM there and it was a disaster.

When you enter the place, the security and the receptionist were so friendly and we booked in. The room was big the bed comfortable everything in the room was perfect. The food was excellent even the waiters and waitresses were very helpful.

Room Tip: The room were very quiet as the hotel is also on quieter side of town

The room I was in neat and tidy I didn't have anything to complain about. The food however is not on par I felt sick after having my breakfast the first day and refused to eat again and bought my own breakfast even though it was inclusive in the rate I stayed at the hotel. The swimming pool was green with algae I could not believe the state of the building either it was horrendous. The reception area is a dark and dingy with the black furniture and decor elements. When I stayed at the hotel back in 2006 it was the best spur was at the bottom and it was excellent 11 years after it has sadly deteriorated since. I hope they can renovate the building and implement cost saving measures that the guests cannot notice.

My stay at the President Hotel was very good. The room was excellent, the bed comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. The only weakness is the internet. The signal is weak, the free WiFi, supposed to be 30 minutes a day, and it took the whole amount of time to even open the first page. Really something that needs to be better if the hotel wishes to have seasoned travelers stay and be happy. The management did come through and provide a solution, but the connectivity was spotty and not accessible in the rooms. A small bump in an otherwise very nice stay.

Room Tip: Upper floors are quiet and the view of Naval Hill and the Mandela Statue are exceptional

Typical "hotel-feel". Food better than expected. Venue neat and tidy. The hotel offers everything you expect. Definitely one of the better hotels in Bloemfontein. Enough safe parking and at least a little bit of a view.
