For our 42nd wedding anniversary we wanted something special. Friends —regular patrons at The Raj—had recommended this restaurant to us.
Our private celebration was perfect. It was a beautiful summer's night and we had our meal on the verandah. Service was gracious and quick; the food was great. At plus minus R100 for a speciality main dish—quite a list on the menu— this is a restaurant we recommend with a smile. Hennie and Maretha Maartens (born married).

I've been to the Raj on three occasions, once with an Indian colleague from India. The food was tasty, served by friendly waitrons. The portions are more than adequate. Four dishes amongst six people, with nan and romali roti for the table was more than enough. You will definitely mop up the last of the gravy in your plate!
