First of all, on the website, the two hour haunted tour is described as thus: THE CONNOR HOTEL AND THE ANN HOPKINS TRAGEDY;
HEADLESS CHARLIE AND THE TRAGIC MINING ACCIDENT;
THE MILE HIGH INN AND THE MURDER OF JENNIE BAUTERS;
THE NEW STATE MOTOR COMPANY AND THE CAROLINE REESE DROWNING;
AND MANY MORE HAUNTING STORIES AND SITES

We were so excited for this tour, especially after having read the reviews; imagine our disappointment at the end of the evening when we had done absolutely NONE of the above!!!! This "haunted tour" is missing just a few things: a) sites to see; b) ghosts; c) ghost stories; d) an engaging guide; and e) any fun at all!
It started out ok; we went into the Catholic Church that was completely dark and lit only by a few candles -- a perfect setting for a bit of spooky fun. Nevertheless, we did nothing more than look around a dark church. Our tour guide was awful! She was so serious about her ghost stuff that she was zero fun. She had countless opportunities during our church tour when she could have given us a scare or two; a quick "what was that?!" would have sufficed! All she did was regale us with the history of the building -- perfectly fine, but it was also supposed to be "ghostly." From there, we went to the park, where our tour guide spent most of her time taking pictures on her phone and trying to convince us that the temperature was colder on the slide...OOOOOh....big time spooky! NOT! After that, we went back to main street and looked into a couple of windows - again with history, but no scares. From there things got even more exiting. We got to look at the basketball court (in the dark, mind you), and she also shone a flashlight in the window of both the men's and women's jails! It was absolutely ridiculous! Really, I paid good money to look into dark, dirty windows with a poor flashlight? And again, our tour guide was so incredibly boring!!!!!! We were so glad for it all to end! At no time did she take us to any of the sites listed on the website; neither did she tell even one ghostly tales! All it was was a discussion of the history of the town while we walked around in the dark! The only things scary were the pot holes and cracked sidewalks! it was absolutely ridiculous!!!! I don't understand how anyone could give this tour a good review! Save your money and go see a spooky movie instead!

My parents, husband, and I went on the Classic Historic Tour of Jerome and thought is was a great learning experience of Jerome itself, as well as the surrounding towns. In July 2017, the price was $80 each for 4.5 hours, which seems to be the going rate for this type of tour. Our driver, Ken, picked us up at our resort in Sedona. His storytelling and knowledge of the towns we traveled through made the time fly! Ken was super accommodating to my father's health issues and really went above and beyond. We were even given a 20% coupon for lunch at a great restaurant named Grapes!

Just to clear things up, this is not at all an abandoned ghost town. Basically an old, former mining town with a historical museum and some shops and restaurants situated high on side of mountain. The person working at the historical museum was very nice but if you're not into learning about mining don't take the long drive up to Jerome.

An absolutely lovely, if quirky, little town. Found it on the way fro Sedona to Prescott. Old mining town used to be full of brothels and saloons - now mostly an artist colony. I counted at least six wine bars. If you chose to partake, make sure you have a driver or a place to spend the night - the road is treacherous. Its a great break, or worth an overnight trip from Sedona.

We have been to Jerome several times on our own, and we talked to the owner who suggested it would be a great tour for us to take regardless. That was a mistake. The 5 hour ultimate tour is very overpriced and not at all complete. We toured only about 2 1/2 hours. Our tour started at 10:00 in Cottonwood, and we were dropped off for lunch at 10:45 a.m. (too early) Then the wine tasting was scheduled right after lunch and we said we wanted to go later. We basically saw nothing new but everything we had seen before, with some slight new insight. Surely not worth the $250 cost. The tour guide was pleasant but she rambled on with no real connected story line, and she kept confusing towns in her narrative.
