Filthy and moldy are the two words that most come to mind about this place. This is absolutely the worst and dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at in the US! It seems like the owners are just trying to squeeze every penny out of the place and then maybe sell it to some unsuspecting investment group. Pretty much ANY random hotel in the area is better. The best is the Best Western a couple of miles down the street.

Although this hotel is close to the I-19, it was surprisingly quiet in the room. Parking easy, coming from the I-19, taking the Duval Mine Rd., to Frontage Road. Staff very friendly and efficient. Our room was nice and offered all the amenities one would like to have: flat tv, fridge, coffee maker, microwave. Two queen size beds, very comfortable. Room fairly big, wifi worked well (free). We had two problems: one chair was totally broken, and the shower knob broke later. But we could easily move to another room. Breakfast was ok, with waffles, bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, bananas, coffee, cereal, oj, etc. The price was ok. We had a good night's sleep there, and would return.

We love their fluffy beds. Pillows are a little to be desired, but what do you expect for $69.00 per night? It's clean, the staff is friendly and their continental breakfast is okay. But, like I said...what do you expect? We recommend this hotel to all our friends who are also satisfied with the comforts. This hotel comes through in a pinch and it's a pleasant stay, nonetheless. We'll keep referring our friends.

The desk clerk was pleasant; the room was clean; the breakfast on the skimpy side. I felt that I'd paid too much for what I needed--a clean bed and bath. The furnishings are dated. For example, the light between the beds was Motel 6-Day's Inn style of 20-30 years ago. The only 3-prong outlet was across the room from the beds next to a table--no desk. The room phone was dirty--looked like it hadn't been cleaned since installed. The room-darkening drapes would not stay closed and half of the velcro was missing.

The list of deficits for this hotel is large. First, no swimming pool and spa access for those with disabilities - I was shocked, since this is a California-based chain, that they did not have the swinging chairs to allow wheelchair-bound people access. Second, the general rundown condition - peeling paint in some places, worn carpeting. The breakfast was a bare minimum - oatmeal in packets, no fruit other than bananas. I could go on and on. Our room had a rattly fridge that vibrated so loudly - and had been "shimmed" by someone in an effort to stop the noise - we finally stuffed a towel between it and the cabinet that held it to muffle (somewhat) the noise. The walls were thin and we heard the poor woman next door coughing through the night. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable. But we won't be staying here again unless there's a major renovation.
