We happened upon this place driving home through Globe. We were pleasantly surprised. La Casita Cafe chicken tacos were the best chicken tacos we've had in a long time- really fresh salsa as well. We'll definitely seek this place out next time.

The La Casita is one of those local, small town restaurants that has been around more than 50 years and is going just a strong today as it was back in the early 1970s. There is a reason for this. People demand what it serves!

While living in Globe back in the 1970s, it was a family tradition to gather ourselves at the La Casita on Sunday after church with friends and spend the next two hours enjoying their fabulous Mexican dishes. Two hours later it was off siesta! This was a necessity as it was virtually impossible to do anything else by nap after a La Casita lunch.

Try the chile relleno and any of their combination dishes. They make a great green chilie cheese crisp and their burritos are as big as a Volkswagen.

Enjoy!

I was referred to la Casita by a local Fire Investigator. He was not wrong, the food a Chicken burrito was the best I ever had. Being lunch time the place was jammed and the waitress apologized for the long wait. I will definitely go back.

The place was packed with locals (always a good sign) and families enjoying the great service and Mexican food. The servers all help one another and seem to know when someone is in need of something. A bit odd they deliver food on rolling carts as opposed to carrying trays as in most restaurants but whatever, it works. The food was good, service excellent and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Cheese crisp was great. Everything else was pretty average. Ask for separate plates unless you want a taco soggy from sitting in enchilada sauce. The carts the waitresses use are loud and give off a cafeteria feel. We weren't unhappy, but would try one of the other Mexican restaurants if we returned to the area.
